I had nurses in and knew it was a lazy *** post as soon as I hit reply.
It's not what I meant. I was actually listing guys that could surprise me.. that I don't particularly like.
Thon projecting 2nd round seems ludicrous.
He's tall, long, elite athlete, and has a great skill set for his size.
I think his floor is elite rim protector and rebounder. His ceiling is most dominant stretch 5 in the NBA.
There's your fence to swing at.
And why I like trading 12 down to Phillys 24 and 26.
Is this the same kinda hunch you had about Shabazz??I'm all in on Thon.
NBA is diluted however. It is no act. Simmons couldn't even get his team to the NCAA tournament and he had other nba players on his team. I think Simmons could end up being just average. I do not seem him being a leader and number 1 option.. Id take Ingram number 1
Joking aside I would LOVE to see Maker on our team.
Favors
Maker
Lyles
Hayward
Exum
Now that is a long and skilled line up. Every player can handle the ball, can pass and can shoot the ball.
Then our FUTURE aka GSW-lite lineup (where they play Green at Center) would be:
Maker
Lyles
Hayward
Hood
Exum
Everyone can handle, pass and shoot the long ball. Defensively long at every position. Extremely versatile offensively and defensively. That is a lineup that I for one can get excited about watching in 2-3 year's time.
Maybe because he played the three in college, is a great shooter and floor spreader, can handle the ball and pass. In other words he has the skills of a wing in a bigger body.Lyles at the 3 is awful. Why would you do that?

I'm just guessing at why he had lyles at the three but those seem like decent reasons why you could play him there.
I was just saying some reasons of why triple I would put him at the three. Not saying I would do it. I do think he could play the three though because he has the skillset to play the three. I think his biggest advantage is at the 4 though.3's in college and very different than 3's in the NBA. I wouldn't do that at all unless it was an extreme circumstance.
It takes away all of Lyles advantages at PF if you play him at the 3.
Again, it's not bad in spurts but Lyles biggest defensive weakness is lateral quickness and those names you mentioned, would torch him with a fake and then hard drive to the rim.I was just saying some reasons of why triple I would put him at the three. I do think he has the size and agility to match up against big threes like melo, bron, and Paul George (when those guys play the three) too.

I agreeHe wasn't even that good at the 3 in college.
Right now he doesn't show a great post up game or strength, so by putting him at the 3 you're eliminating his mismatch skills. He's not going to blow by 3's, but they'll blow by him. Just picture him guarding Bron, Hayward, Durant, or even Joe freaking Ingles. Lyles is a 4, not a 3. He should never play 3.
I agreeDude. They would torch him. He couldn't keep up with college wings, he's not keeping up with those guys.
