Following 2016 potential draftees

Dante that team you have managed is still not going to do any damage in the NBA. With those moves I could see a game or two improvement but not much more. Cant expect much from Rookies. Good thing about taking Poeltri though is he has been in /Utah for awhile so id like chances that he might want to stay and not bolt

I watched Dwil lall thru college. No similarities in game other then the size. This is just asaNINE TO EVEN SAY.

I'm comparing to DWill as a young NBA player. DWill developed his game a lot as a pro. Size, frame, passing, shooting, pace of play, hard drives--all very similar.

Who thinks withey has trade value? Name one person.

I think that Withey has some trade value. It might not be much, but it's there. I could see him being moved to jump up from a mid-to-late 2nd round pick to the late 1st/early 2nd for a draft and stash guy that falls further than expected. There would likely be more involved (2nd round picks and cash), but I could see him factoring into something like that.

Burke shouldn't have any value with how he fell out of the rotation, but I could see a team/coach convince themselves that they can use him better than the Jazz have. Plus, he is on a cheap contract and whatever team trades for him holds his RFA rights. I think Trey will get another shot somewhere. He might be a throw in to match salaries, but he'll get another chance.

So funny people think Trey has no trade value but Whitney does. SO funny seriously

Did I say that? Nope

Neither guy has any kind of trade value that moves the needle. Trey could maybe get a pick in the 30s... Maybe. Withey probably has more value to us as a backup than he'd get in a trade. He may have a bit more value after teams strike out in free agency.

Okay, I'll take the bait....Trey is undersized, slow of foot, a terrible defender, and an inconsistent shooter. The Jazz tried to trade Trey at the deadline and no one wanted him, there was no market. Jazz radio host checketts said an official from another team told him Trey has no value.

Withey on the other hand is a true 7 footer on a 1 million dollar non garunteed contract who had a def rating of 99 and on offensive rating of 115. He has demonstrated atleast 3 NBA skills, 1- he is tall, 2- he rebounds and 3- he blocks shots. He ranked second on the Jazz on win score per 48 minutes, his block rate per 36 minutes is higher than Rudy's, Withey rebounds at a rate higher than any jazzman except Rudy.

economics suggest the scarcity of 7 footers who can play compared to the abundance of short, slow chuckers would create a market for the former but not for the latter.

Finally Trey Trey still thinks he is a starter, Withey it seems has accepted his role as a role player.

This.

Luwawu's supporters would point to his last as a reason why we should draft him, but it was against a pretty weak team. Impressive nonetheless.

Luwawu has the length, athleticism and reactions to be a Thabo Sefalosha or Doug Christie-caliber defensive player. So he *should* have the 'D' at least. I just don't know much about his ball skills and how consistent a shooter he is.

I don't think Baldwin is really a wing. He's a power guard who can swing a bit to the 2-guard.

We need a guy who can handle, shoot and make plays at a fast pace, so it's not all on Gordon or Rodney to create offense in the half court. Our problem is on offense where we've been limited in recent years.

...So yeah, technically Exum is supposed to make a big difference...

If we're looking at draft prospects then I think that need is better filled by Kork then it is Luwawu. IMO.

Like I said though, the idea of Maker at 12 is really growing on me.

I'm not worried about anyone bolting. When you draft them, you get them for 7 years, right? If you can't create something in 7 years, then they should bolt.

As long as you match any offers they get when they become a RFA. Which of course does not always happen. Wesley Matthews for instance.

Still like Kork. Just wish Efes would give him more playing time, but they are now in the Turkish League playoffs so no messing around. Hope for his sake it ends in time so he can come to the US to show teams what he can do.

Everything you say is asinine

Dwill and Baldwin game are nothing alike when both were in college
Dwill was a pure point guard. Old school type. Could pass it really good. Baldwin is more of a wing. Don't hate on me because I speak the truth Queen CY

Completely disagree, though I'm not against adding a player who can do all those things. We have Exum and Burks coming back, that is two very dynamic ball-handlers. A good off-ball player might be more important.
