Following 2016 potential draftees

I'm very much for adding another flexible big. Stuff I've seen this year unfortunately suggest that unless Gobert makes a major leap offensively in terms of improving his hands, his timing on dives and becoming more assertive in getting and converting putbacks, there will be lineups where you'll sit and play a more flexible lineup to establish a flow on offense. Favors is kind of like a best case PF/C hybrid. He has rim protection value, length and strength. He also adds enough skill to not ruin spacing. Lyles is interesting, but I want another big you can pair with Favors that adds another dimension. Maybe Lyles will develop into the guy I envision. But I want a PF that's better in PnR defense. He's a rook, so maybe he'll develop. But a 6'8" - 6'9" guy with swift feet and good IQ to orchestrate the screening defense and consistently switch would be very good long term.
I also don't dislike Withey. I think he's solid. But he doesn't offer something Gobert can't do already. Flexibility is key.
On the wing we need shooting and a perimeter disruptor. With shooting being more important as Gobert is still very good at annoying high level wings around the basket, allowing mediocre defenders to deny the shooting just a little bit more.
I like the playmaking. Hayward is smart. I think Exum will be good. Burks and Hood can attack. We're good there.
Damian Jones is the most defensively flexible big in the draft.

He realize he doesn't have the it factor for high potential.

I'll have to listen to what he said but how does he know he doesn't have the it factor... He's watched a handful of games... The kid is 20... Unless he's sat and talked to him hard to say he doesn't have high potential when he has the physical profile and athleticism to be a high potential guy. Also pretty productive player at a very young age.

I think Lyles can be that guy. He's pretty light on his feet so he has some of the tools to be able to switch out and stay in front of guys. We will see if he has the will and tenacity.

I forgot the balance... My gawd that balance doe!

New DX mock... Murray goes 8th, Baldwin 10th, We take Luwawu.

I don't remember them changing this much last year. Didn't they change it yesterday?

Not bad at all for us.
Where did they have buddy, chriss and furkan going?

I buried the lead... Chriss goes 3rd which pushes everyone back. Buddy same spot, furkan 14.

It's all coming together! Go get him DL!

I'd still be shocked if he fell past Denver. I'm not very high on Jaylen Brown though.

If he fell to Sacramento, we could likely build a deal around AB, 12, cap relief, future draft considerations that they would be tempted by. Burke, Burks, and 12 for Belinelli, Koufas, and 8. They need a pg.. Rondo a FA and Collison just got arrested for domestic violence.

They changed it Friday, before that Sunday.

I probably didn't check it until yesterday so that makes sense.

With Mudiay, Barton and Harris as their core guards, I could see them wanting a young player like Brown who can play SG or SF for them. They already have the young bigs but they don't have the young big wings that Brown could be for them.

I do think that Murray gets by them in that situation.

Murray is a better prospect than Harris and Barton. Barton can play either 2 or 3. Their best player is a 3 (Gallinari)... they have Wilson Chandler a combo 3/4 guy coming back from injury.

I don't see the need for a 3 being greater than a need for a 2. Mudiay is no sure thing at point either and Murray is likely to get some minutes playing pg as well.

Again, I don't like Brown nearly as much as Murray. I get why people are intrigued with Brown, but I'm worried his shot doesn't come around and he doesn't get enough of the defensive stats (although I haven't looked at deflections) to be convinced he'll be a world beater there. He turns the ball over a bunch and scored points at a decent rate, but did so inefficiently. I see him as similar to Luwawu.

Why would anyone draft Hield over Murray?

I really like Hield when I though he was going 12-15... but in the top 7? while passing up a guy like Murray? The hype may have gone too far.

I'm surprised Ellenson is sliding. I think he could be a player similar to Jokic... I realize there are some things he will probably always suck at, but guys like him also create issues for the other team. I think he will also provide some rim protection and rebounding so he won't be a complete negative on the defensive end.
