Following potential 2012 draftees

OT: Last night Shabazz Muhammed led his team to a state championship .. in style. As a senior for Bishop Gorman HS, 'Bazz has won 3 state titles and last nights championship game was a 45pt blowout. 'Bazz scored 30 in the first half and ended the game on 15 of 17 shooting (36pts) with vicious dunks and smooth outside shooting. He's a Killer.

I'm sure I'm in the minority on this one, but I would honestly take him over Jabari.

He was 8/11 heading into OT. Kid played 41 minutes, he was absolutely exhausted, and you could tell on his last couple FT attempts. I honestly don't have a problem with that...fatigue happens. Virginia Tech plays very physical and it's extremely difficult for a true freshman to play 41 minutes, c'mon man.

Also for those of you with a problem with Rivers assists numbers...Duke just doesn't typically ever have a guy with high assist numbers. Even Kyrie Irving, an elite PG only averaged a
little over 4 APG at Duke, the leading guy this year (Seth Curry) is averaging 2.5 APG...it's not the players, it's the system.

So we agree he isn't that clutch?

Has anyone ever heard of a PG leading the NCAA in scoring AND in assist/turnover ratio? Cause that's what Lillard is doing. Impressive, even if it is against lower competition.

1 time. Just got negated by missing FT's that would have put a game away. FT line is the most clutch area of the court IMO.

So the time in the game when Duke was down by 2 with 30 seconds left and Rivers hit both of his FT's to tie the game and eventually send it into OT doesn't count....right?

I really liked Festus Ezeli's game vs Kentucky. 15 points 6 boards 3 blocks vs the best player in the nation in Anthony Davis. I would be willing to take a second round gamble on him for a back up center assuming Big Al is traded at some point. If you didn't watch, he is really athletic and I think he has potential to be a solid rotation guy

I didn't see it so of course it doesn't count. Silly Duke fan.

Lol Ezeli isn't going in the 2nd round. Probably somewhere in the 20's. If he went to the 2nd round I would be shocked. 6'11, athletic and plays defense. Basically Ibaka, but less upside because of age.

On another note...wouldn't it be nice to have another guard other than Burks who can get to the line 10+ times a game. Now if only he could make more of them...I trust that he'll work on that though, just like his 3-point shooting.

Looked on NBA draft and showed projection of being picked in the 2nd round, 50th pick.

Rivers is coming out as now. Shocked if he stays.

Ezeli, regardless of nbadraft.net says, will go between 20 and 30, IMO.
