Following potential 2012 draftees

I can't figure out why the Cavs are trying to move from 4 to 2. Who would they be after so badly at 2 that would be gone at 4? (yes, I know 2 players would be gone .. just trying to figure out who is a clear enough need for the Cavs that would trump what is generally considered pretty even bpa from 2 through 6)

Maybe MKG? I think he's a great for any team. But I think the word is they really like Barnes. Beal would be maybe the best fit in my estimation.

Drummond? THey need a center. But I would've thought Cavs were after Barnes for sure.

That's kind of my point. I don't think I see Beal or Barnes going top 3 .. so why not just wait until 4 and take one of them? Do you think who they could take at 2 is clearly better than who is there at 4 .. is my point.

I think Beal does 3rd to Washington. If so, at 4 they will have at least two out of the following players available to them:

Thomas Robinson (who I think goes 2nd)
MKG
Harrison Barnes

...it's a peculiar move if they pull the trigger on a trade for #2. There's a reason these teams pick top 5 every year, though. If Jordan swung a trade to move down to #4 and still landed MKG or Robinson, it would be the first good move he's made.

I just cannot see Beal at #2. Love the kid, but 2?

I also believe Drummond goes before what the prognosticators are projecting.

Davis
Robinson
Drummond
MKG
Beal
Barnes

(that's my bpa)

Why did this thread slow down? Only 5 days to go...

If you thought this thread was going well 5 days ago, you should've been here at the start of the season when we thought the GS pick would be the lower of the two picks we thought we were getting. Now we just have the 47th pick. You missed the Marshall vs. Rivers arguments then the Marshall Lillard arguments, the Who's better argument of who's better MKG or Barnes, or who the bigger bust was out of Drummond and PJ3, and my personal favorite, how great Q Miller was going to be now he is a bust, or PKM and Cyrone acting like an old married couple that can't stand each other, but at the same time couldn't go through lif with out the other. I'm just surprised this thread hasn't overloaded jazzfanz, but iv enjoyed it just the same.;)

Actually, we started by debating Marquis Teague vs. Myck Kabongo. I think the Jazz will trade either or both Jefferson and Millsap and get a pick in this year's draft sooner than #47. There are too many teams that could use those quality players, and the Jazz may not be able to re-sign them after this coming season.

Forgive me. In my defense that was like 8,800 posts ago:D

So what was the conclusion?

So what was the conclusion?

There are no conclusions here, ever.

I was backing Teague as the better of the two, eventually .. I believe it was Cy that was REALLY high on Myck (this year lottery high). I don't think anyone was passionately for or against either one, really.
