Following potential 2013 draftees

This just goes to show you HS rankings aren't always accurate. You can get a bunch of top ranked players, but doesn't mean they are actually better than other ones you didn't recruit. Coach Cal just has a boner for anyone with a top 10 next to their name.

And then?

Goodwin
Poythress

Anyone else? I just don't see Wiltjer or Harrow staying in the league, if they even make it that is.

I'm afraid the Cal's first round PG streak might be over.

As of right now, I'd guess;
Noel
WCS
Goodwin
Poythress
Harrow (can probably be a 2nd string .. He's good, but too thin)
Wither (12th man marksman ... For a few years)

And as for Cals PG streak being over .. Yeah, there weren't any this year .. That's why he planned ahead to snag Harrow as a transfer. And why I was yelling to make a trade or pick up a PG in FA before its too late.

Yell louder.

That's stupid. Cal has recruited the best, they've performed the best (in year 1), and gotten drafted way early.
WCS wasn't a 5star, btw.

It's better to say that THIS years crop was just not all that great (as a recruiting class) and Everything changes for this entire team if Poythress caught a killer instinct. I'm not being defensive (I've been way unhomerish), but I have to call out a horrible take.

But there are a lot of Freshman performing well.

There are always unheralded players that do better than expected. Would you rather recruit a kid ranked in the 50's and hope they over-perform, or recruit a top 10 kid and hope they don't disappoint.

Btw, who are these freshman you're referring to .. I am especially interested in the ones that have out-performed Goodwin and Poythress.
Just back track, please, your post sucked. It's okay, I have several of those per day..

Don't make me backup my general claims with specifics.

Here's a recent vid. Two games ago .. shows his athleticism, motor, and ability to run the floor as well as any 7 footer I've seen.

He seems to have that running hook shot that Kanter still lacks.

**sigh**

DX is about to update in about an hour and they're moving Burke DOWN from 20 to 21.

Keeping Goodwin and Poythress in top 10.

No Willie Cauley-Stein in 1st round.

I'm not impressed with the new list.

Cy, who do you like more?

IDK, I was just saying they are two interesting mid to late 1st round draft prospects. The dude from Indiana gives me a Matthews vibe looking at his measurements, and his calling card is defense. Also the fact that he seems to be working himself into being an offensively efficient player, like Matthews did.

The European guy is a SF, which is nice. But he is also completely European, meaning he probably sucks *** on defense. But he is also completely European offensively, which means he can shoot and looks crafty as hell.

You talking about Oladipo?

I see him as far from a need, but his scoring is just fine. I've watched him for 4 years now and he's gotten better each year (or at least it seems). He's a great offensive guy, imo .. he gets it done when his team needs and he's not a chucker. I like him, but I wouldn't take in the 1st round if I'm the Jazz .. just too many other potential better fits..

I agree with all of this.
