Following potential 2013 draftees

Just wached the Aaron Gordon vs Lone Peak game. I really like the motor the Gordon has. If he can develop a respectable shot then he would be great to have. Honestly, I can see him at SF with Favors and Kanter he bigs. Kanter can be used to spread the floor.

Any of the top picks from 2014 would put us on another level. Finding a way into the top 5 of that draft should be priority #1.

If we trade out Millsap, I honestly don't think our record will suffer much for it. If we trade out Jefferson, that could cost us some games, but I don't think it would be enough to "tank" the season.

I dunno, Millsap makes some very important cuts and jumpers to make our offense go. But on the other hand his minutes would be taken by Favors and Kanter. The improvement in rebounding and defense be a net gain.

My plan would be trade Al/Milsap both or let them both walk. Let Kanter and Favors take over next year with a young big and young PG from the draft. If they keep us at or near the playoffs, great! If not, then we likely have a top 10 pick, maybe better.

Yep. Doesn't seem that hard.

This basically sums it up. Dunno if the FO will see the plan that's staring them directly in the eye, though.

MCW with 16 points, 7 assists, 5 rebounds today.

He continues to come up HUGE when his team needs it most. He scored 7 consecutive points for Syracuse down the stretch to tie it back up (his 3 tied it up with about a minute left.)

Oh, and he'll have a dunk of the year nominee from this game. I'll post it when I find it.

Favors has the ability to draw fouls and score around the rim that, along with his all-around defense, would make up for losing Millsap. The issue is that Millsap and Favors play fairly well with one another offensively, while Favors has to develop some of that chemistry. The way Millsap has been shooting this year though, I'm almost as comfortable watching Favors take a 15-foot jumper now...or let someone else shoot out on the floor.

I blame you for this failure.

Mark your calendars.

April 20th. Nike Hoop Summit. I may try to make the trip to Portland to see the guys play ball.

Nice roster;

Andrew Harrison (#1 ranked PG in the class)
Aaron Harrison (#1 ranked shooting guard in the class)
Jabari Parker (#2 ranked SF in the class)
Julius Randle (#1 ranked PF in the class)
Noah Vonleh (#2 ranked PF in the class)
Aaron Gordon (#3 ranked SF in the class)
Kasey Hill (#2 ranked PG in the class)
Demetrius Jackson (6th ranked PG in the class)
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (4th ranked SF in the class)
Bobby Portis (#2 ranked C in the class)

These will be fun to watch. Watch for Kasey Hill .. he's going to be another very good PG.
