Following potential 2013 draftees

Loved the competitive response by Burk in that final 40-seconds. Had the bad turnover but didn't hang his head, raced back for the strip and then had the great block on Craft's jumper.
Precisely.
Is Craft the perfect back up PG for the Jazz?

Tough kid, good D, seems heady and runs the offense.

A little John Crotty in him :)

He may go undrafted. If thats the case .. Or late 2nd, sure. But I see him as a good college PG but not NBA.

I was impressed with Aaron Craft's defense and think he could be a good backup PG simply because of his defense. I don't know where he is projected but I was impressed with his defense. He has a long way to go on offense but we are talking about a guy who would play max 18 to minutes in the NBA. I don't know much about him and if he is considered NBA material or not.

I was impressed with Burke 's toughness and hustle but I still have my doubts about his size and ability to get by people.

Yep kid's a winner but not necessarily an NBA PG at this stage. He's only a junior so still has time to develop a consistent outside jumpshot which is probably his biggest weakness. Eric Snow was a dreadful shooter at Michigan State but a hard-nosed defender and developed enough of a mid-range jumper to be a quality starting PG for alot of years in the NBA.
Craft could play professionally somewhere for a long time - although he wants to be a doctor someday so it's possible he wouldn't want to spend more than a few years playing overseas if he doesn't stick in the nba.

I know you guys don't care about the team (except Cope), but Go Blue! What a dogfight. I was happy to see Michigan hang in there when they had some bad plays, some calls didn't go their way and the crowd started getting frustrated - they kept their heads up. Trey v Craft was a pleasure to watch and I'm loving what McGary has been doing the last 2 games with Morgan out. Loved THJ stepping up as a leader of this team - using his experience to bring them back and get the win - 3 after 3. Crisler was rocking.

This team is young, with 5 freshman getting minutes. You can tell they are putting more and more pressure on themselves to win as they find success and right now they seem to be searching for the right balance of intensity while staying loose and having fun. Great game, exhausting game and back to #2!

Sincere congrats on the win, Blue. I'm pulling for you guys as much, or more, than any outside of UK.
Besides, I enjoy pulling for other (respectful) poster's teams when not playing my own.

Happy for ya, bro.

Burke post game comments. I wont post this kind of thing often, but thought a few might be interested in his personality and off court demeanor.

This is the perfect thread to post these sorts of things. We obvi don't need every post-game, but mentality, character, intellect, ability to handle the pressure/media are all relevant in this thread.

Thanks PKM - this is a cool experience to be a part of and I'm glad you are enjoying it as well. As you know, the UM basketball program has basically been down since 1993 (fab5 scandal) so it has been extremely fun/interesting watching them regain relevancy on a national level. Players, coaches, fans all adjusting to success and the expectations of winning.....this is a new thing here for the basketball program and I'm hoping it's just beginning of something special.

Burke struggling to finish inside (again)...

I'd still take him around #18 though, and just let him set up players, hit occasional 3's. He won't be the next Lillard, but hopefully he won't be the next Maynor neither.
