Following potential 2013 draftees

I wonder what we would do if Goodwin ended up being BPA when we pick. I like him, but he seems a little redundant with Burks.

Bazz

I like Noel but I worry about his frame in the league. I guess Davis and his growth might be able to persuade me to change my mind.

I agree. Also, Noel isn't as skilled offensively as Davis was coming out of high school. He might be as good on the defensive end, but not on offense.

One other note. Whenever I get asked a question like the one you asked I always think about it in terms of the Jazz. I can't see Noel being good for the Jazz in the next 3 years. Kanter and Favors are only going to get better and that would mean another logjam for the big guys.

Bazz on the other hand would be great in a rotation with Hayward and Burks.

I know what you are thinking, you just said that Noel would create a logjam for the big guys but now you are saying that Bazz would be good with Hayward and Burks, you must be a hypocrite. Bazz can contribute immediately. Noel is a project and will take some time to develop. That to me makes a huge difference for where the Jazz are right now.

Bazz seems to have more of the killer instincts and leadership that I'd want in a #1 pick too. During the Nike Hoop Summit, he was the one always on the attack and trying to get his team back in the game. Noel was pretty passive the whole game. Though, his guards didn't get him the ball much.

One other thing I really like about Shabazz is his post game. He has incredible size for a SG which allows him to back is man down a bit, then release that killer lefty hook. An elite SG prospect that has already managed to develop a post game in high school is amazing...it's something that allowed Jordan, Kobe, and Wade to separate themselves (among other things obviously), and is something that the likes of Durant and Harden still haven't done. Just look at what a difference a post game made for Lebron this past season. Bazz already has that.
