Following potential 2013 draftees

Take this with a grain of salt at this point, but word from inside UK is that Ryan Harrow is crumbling under the pressure. I've been told he's proving to be too mentally weak for the extremely intense physical practices as well as the extreme intensity Calipari is pushing him for perfection. Small rumblings he may not 'make it' .. whatever that means.

FWIW, we go through this every year and every kid, so far, has pulled themselves up by their boot-straps .. we'll see if Ryan can do the same.

He seemed like a little bitch baby during the all access shows

OT: (2014)

Wiggins played a game in Kentucky yesterday. I normally would have gone but couldn't make it. I spoke with several key people that went to watch the game. One of the most fascinating quotes I heard was from an NBA scout. He said Wiggins is beginning to spoken of among scouts as likely having a career that will be in the same breath as the all-time greats ... challenging for best to ever played.

I know it's early, but I haven't heard that about any kid since Lebron. Anxious to see this kid in college next year and the NBA in two.

Time to tank?

Very excited to see him play, he was a man in high school. I don't think he will dissapoint.

The only thing that may hold him back is Ben Howland's awful offense. Hopefully he breaks from the norm and doesn't attach a plowhorse mentality to this team as he has EVERY year he's coached. It would be a shame to play grind-it-out sloooooooooow ball with 'Bazz on the team. UCLA normally averages around 65 per game, iirc.

I guess they havent played anyone but it looked like they were picking it up a bit this year

'Bazz getting a little flack for his first game for putting up 15pts, 1rb, 2asts .. talk about hype .. it's the kids first ever college game and it was a letdown with 15??

Kids gonna be very good. At least a HUGE scorer, that is.

^He looked a little out of shape I thought. Probably was chowing down on some of those Twinkies after being declared ineligible.

Playing against an AWFUL Georgia team, Cody Zeller played 27 minutes;

6pts
4rbs
0asts
0blks
2stls
4to's

Terrible for a consensus top 3 pick. As I have said many times, he's very good. A great collegiate player, but has no business in the top 5.

A number of NBA GMs -- including the Celtics’ Danny Ainge, the Jazz’s Kevin O’Connor, Bulls’ Gar Forman, the Warriors Bob Myers and the Blazers Neil Olshey -- were in attendance. Overall, they are seeing the same phenomenon here that they are seeing everywhere. This is a down season, talent wise, in the NCAA. “If Cody Zeller, Shabazz Muhammad, Nerlens Noel and James McAdoo are your top four picks, it’s going to be an ugly, ugly draft.” Other than McAdoo, I couldn’t find a scout or GM convinced there was another first-round prospect here. If Kabongo plays, that could be two. But that explains, in part, why the field is so weak. ESPN.com

Awesome...

Don't worry about it, they said the 2011 draft class was weak and we had two lottery picks that year. Those guys are tearing it up. KOC will find a diamond in the ruff.....trust him.

This does worry me. Is it wrong that I hope that the GST go into super tank mode again?

Credible quotes but awful take. There's some very, very good talent in this class.
