I guess you'd have to watch the games. The highlights spread it around too much. Archie had back-to-back 25+pt games where that's nearly all he did, at will.
I'm not defending him, btw, but what I am saying is accurate.

I have been saying Archie needs better decision-making, Poythress needs to play hard consistently, Noel needs strength, etc. Point is, I'm not just being a homer .. Archie just has the speed, craftiness, and nasty factor that is very rare in a freshman..
 
I hope we draft Archie and then let him sit on the shelf for a couple of years behind Veterans X, Y and Z.

How are his handles? I thought Burks was suppose to be a good ball handler, but his handles seem really loose to me, kind of like Hayward's.

Very good, imo. Very similar to Wall. He's not flashy with the ball but dribbles into traffic, takes contact, and finishes. He's turning it over very little considering he's new to running PG.
 
The whole Kabonogo thing has been really disappointing thus far. I was hoping he would break out this season.
 
Only a few will hav interest in the news, but Ryan Harrow has rejoined the team. There was some speculation he may not, for those that hadn't heard that rumor.

No game until Thursday vs. Notre Dame. Will let u know how the guys looked.

So what do you guys think of this Marcus Smart guy? He looks talented. Is he coming out this year? I hope we could trade up to get him.

Well I haven't seen a whole lot which is why I asked, but it looks like he has some elite athleticism mixed with some game. I need to see more, but he kind of stands out right now from what I have looked at.
 
I'm not hating, just trying to understand. A 6'3 SG (combo) that has played 5 games (averaging 35minutes);

- 2 of them he scored 8 pts.
- 3 of them he had 5to's.
- 2 of them he was 1 foul from fouling out
- 38% from the field
- 23% from 3

Now, he also has some nice stats, but he's not projecting anywhere and I am just wondering why we're comparing him to Kabongo (which I've never been high on) all of a sudden..

In fairness, I said there were positives .. I was just wondering what was so great to name a virtually unknown player, with some fairly suspect stats, to a vaulted status. I admit he's shown some nice game.

He is averaging 15 pts 8 brds 5 assts 3 stls 1 block.

Not bad really.

He cant be that unknown. Nbadraft.net has him going 6 overall. He is a Mcdonalds all american. Two high school Texas 5a championships. USA U18 Fiba championship. Top 13 recruit.

Just to name few things I found. He sounds pretty well known.

What am I missing?
