Following potential 2013 draftees

Allen Crabbe seems like an interesting guy to look at, a deadeye shooter something which the Jazz could use. One question, how would you all feel about drafting Shane Larkin at #14?

Too high at 14. However, I'm one who is on the bandwagon for him at 21 (though there are other players at that spot who might be nice too) even if a PG is drafted at 14. PG is the most dire situation this team has now.

- Well the dribbling thing is only what the commentator said, I have yet to see any problem with it.

The hype is due to:

- here is a guy who has all the physical attributes required to potentially become a great PG in the NBA. Moreover he seems to have the poise and composure to run the point from a mental stand point.

- He competed against 2 guys who are projected to be drafted in the lottery of next year's LOADED draft class. Yes granted they're still high schoolers, but it looks like Schroeder has the physical attributes required to match up with them (he looks considerably longer and just as quick as Hill for example).

- He isn't higher than Burke in the rankings because he is still a bit of an unknown. The Hoop Summit is 1 piece of information, guys like Burke and MCW and McCollum have a portfolio of work to back up their legitimacy.

- I believe if Schroeder had play college bball last year, and really thrived the way Burke did, he probably would be right up there with Burke just because he's longer, and he's seems much quicker at changing gears.
The Summit is the only game you've seen, and highlights won't show any weaknesses, so your first statement is rediculus. No matter how you color it he played against high schoolers, also from what I understand the world team had much more time to practice and prepare for the game, also the defense was bad, as it was a glorified Allstar game, and the USA was less cohesive as a team on both ends of the court, so as you can see Schroeder and the other world teamates were set up to succeed over the USA players. Those were weak arguments.

Just because the Celtics promised Schroeder that they would draft him at #16, doesn't mean that the Jazz have to pass up Schroeder. It's not like we live in a world where #16 gets to pick before #14 does. If the Jazz want Schroeder they will get him.

Zeke Marshall seems like an interesting big in the second round. He has a lot of workouts booked for various teams, I dont know much about him.

LOL.. yeah haters' gonna hate.

You know, we're not looking at a top #5 prospect here - I'm not pretending he's a legit talent. There is a reason he's available around #14 - there are a lot of question marks as you've stated. If there aren't any? He would already be a top #5 prospect up there with Burke. In which case we wouldn't even have a chance at grabbing him.

In actual fact I'm really happy there's a lack of info on him - making him potentially available to us. It's here that teams like the Jazz and the Spurs really thrived and have always pride themselves on getting a guy off "the bargain bin" and turning them into great players (Millsap, Matthews).

In conclusion, I can only make a call based on the limited info that I have at hand. Having said that - I have total confidence in Lindsey & KOC to make the right decision - whether he's legit or just another pretender. That's what make this such great fun though right? I'm saying YES to Schroeder - you're saying NO - only time will tell who's right.

Thee,

We get it. You font like Schroeder. It happens. This draft is such an up and down draft that none of us will know who will be available.

Personally I like Schroeder for these reasons:

He makes defense his priority and his measurements (length and speed) could make him an above average defender to an elite defender.
He seems to be a hard worker.
He's got an orange spot on his head.

I'd also like to add sometimes you just can't explain it when you "love" something. You just do.

I think what you were talking about was the fact that they are proposing the HS scouting scene again. I really was for it until you told me more about the dark side of it all.
