Following potential 2013 draftees

Adams and Schroe, both, ain't happening. Maybe Schroe and Gobert..

It saddens me you are pro schro. Do you guys not see the major weaknesses and red flags in his game. There's a reason no one had heard of him till a month or two ago.

The dude needs lots of room to be succesfull with his outside shot. Can't finish around the rim, a bit of a nutcase, and no left hand. You can't be a pg in the nba and have no left hand.

I don't for the life of me understand the love this guy gets.

When he bombs out in three years you all better rep me hard!

I'm pretty meh on Schroe.. I was just responding to the probabilities.

When it comes to PG's, there is Burke (whom I still think is overrated), McCollum (he's my guy)...and then everybody else. I guess this year we'll find out if we'll draft a PG simply to draft a PG or not, because they certainly don't have much value this year.

I would strongly consider going with a big at 14 and a shooter at 21, or the other way around, rather than being stuck to this idea of drafting a PG who isn't that good.

Just thought why not give u guys some older and cohesive video footage about Schröder. This one is from March, 25th 2012. Schröder played 13 min in this one, 1/3 from the field with 3 TOs and 1 Assist. Just to show his development over the last summer. I'll link the youtube times when he is substituted that game. He is dark shirts #17, video quality is lacking but I think one can see enough details.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=oJsDUBWRISw#t=1389s First stint. Last 30 sec of 1st quarter. Won't return for the start of 2nd. Commits 5th teamfoul and an offensive sequence off the ball, where he's just staying on the wing(charge is called). So not that much action.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=oJsDUBWRISw#t=2342s Next substitution. Ends at 1.32 left to play in the 2nd, 45.00 on youtube.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=oJsDUBWRISw#t=5262s He plays the whole 4th quarter, due to his teammates having health problems

I think that will be the BPA at those spots, so I agree.

I also love saying I told ya so about needing a PG in FA rather than nab one in the last few drafts... even next year will be a little light.

what about Plumlee@14 and Schroder@21... thats what dx has

if thats even plausible, sounds good

but hes got Nemanja Nedovic@46... Alex Abrines is a much better 2nd round international guard prospect

interesting tidbit about Nedovic from DX

Nemanja Nedovic caught our eye for the first time four and a half years ago at the 2008 Nike International Junior tournament in Madrid. A few seasons later when we went to scout and interview Jan Vesely in Belgrade in February of 2011, Nedovic again popped onto our radar screen with an impressive dunk right in Vesely's face during Partizan's game against Red Star.

I'd rather have Gobert than Plumlee. I do think most here hate Plumlee more than they should, I just like Gobert's upside more than the steady-eddiness of Mason.

do you think Kanter and Favors will be able to help gobert if he gets pushed around?

if the answer to that is yes, i dont see how we cant go after a player like Gobert or Noguiera

Adams also fits but he wont need any help being pushed around

I am ok with several of the PGs but not excited about any. They all have holes in their game or have some physical limitations.

Burke is very good but he is overhyped because he had a great tournament. He was a mid 1st round pick and that is probably where he should be if the draft was better. I don't think he is a top 7 guy in most drafts. His height and average first step are issues for me.

MCW - Great size, bad shooter and turnover prone. Besides needing to get stronger.
CJ - Great shooter but has he proven he is a PG. NO!

Larkin - backup at best, great kid, athleticism but short in height and arms.

Schroeder - raw, perhaps immature, and average shooter and needs to gain weight. Athletic, fast and has huge upside but could be a bust due to mental approach and not being able to adjust to the NBA. He is a project and is not ready to be a starter.

I like CJ the best because he can take the 6th man position if he does n't pan out being a PG. Jazz need shooters and he seems to be the most NBA ready. I am all for taking a big man at 14th and taking a shooter at 21. Jazz need to add to their depth so they need to take the BPA and worry about filling a position of need at PG later if that is how it pans out.

I probably like Kanter with both of those guys more so than Favors. Kanter, particularly with Bebe.. Kanter can hold guys away from the rim knowing Bebe can help.
Kanter can be free to freelance a bit on offense having some rebounding below..

I guess I just said I like Kanter over Favors.. hahha.

if im enes kanter im screaming at someone to get Noguiera or Gobert

or a player like James Ennis or Tony Mitchell, because Kanter establishes great position these guys can take advantage of the lanes, and Gobert can keep the ball alive, Kanter and Favors can go get it..

i really hope the jazz try to dominate the boards, the foundation is there..

how about

Gobert@14
Giannis@21
Southerland@46

Sign Brandon Jennings and tell him we want alley oops and ball movement, and catch and shoot, let him drive at the end of the game if its needed...

this plan is awesome and we have a TREMENDOUS team if Giannis is getting time at SF and Gobert at C

Blocks? Steals? wed have tons, and Dunks, plus

Giannis Kanter Gobert and Favors on the boards...

play Gordon at SG, Jazz are a matchup nightmare

teams in the west wont trade with us, obviously

also whats the average age of the team... 22, 23, 24??

No one besides NBA scouts, that is. Could it be that being 18 and playing in Germany possibly has anything to do with that? Of course not. No one that people learned existed over the course of a few months ever did anything.

I bet most don't like it. I'm not among them. I like it. (Though I doubt Giannis is still on board at 21.

im not going to elaborate too much, but Giannis is no Al Farooq Aminu

i cant see why in the world youd waste a 4 year rookie contract on that kid when Aminus on the market at 23 years old

to me

Aminu was clearly a top 10 pick

Kahwi Leonard was a borderline lotto guy

Giannis is an early 20's guy in my book

well then ill tell you why

Basketball IQ

theres a massive gap

Giannis is Raw even vs Aminu during the draft, now at 23 its ever more apparent
also

Timing, Aminu's is proven and Giannis has a chance but its not the same

also the thing that justifies Aminu as a top 10 guy is Rebounding, Passing and his Dribbling Ability is quite nifty, especially when you see him start the fastbreak off a Dreb

Giannis will be a slasher and im not sure what else, who knows though he could very easily grow to 7'

Perry Jones was a way better prospect than Giannis also..

It's rare to find a 6'9" player with the ability to handle the ball, pass, drive, shoot and defend. This type of player can put enormous pressure on the defense. Giannis is a well-rounded player with some significant upside if he can gain some strength and explosiveness. In this particular draft he stands out.

Next year, there are several big athletes who are multi-dimensional players, but I think Giannis will always be able to fit in as a big wing. Giannis is a guy teams can initiate through. The talent is pretty obvious.
