Following potential 2013 draftees

i bet favors(or aminu) blocks the **** outa giannis if we play em... i could even see Hayward getting giannis bad in transition, hes not used to NBA players

doesnt finish strong

and you vouch for his jumpshot? i cant tell if thats gonna be any good, honestly.

2013 draft Giannis at SF and a 3rd Big (Gobert, Adams, Withey, Plum,...)

2014 draft a PG.

Or draft a PG this year and hope for Parker @ SF in 2014.

?

Parker would be huge. There's not many PG's in next year's draft, either.
Somebody will probably dog cuss me for saying this for 100th time since 2010.. but a PG needs to be gotten in FA.

Giannis needs at least 2 solid years of development, but yes, he has good shooting touch. He does finish pretty strong on his drives.

Mitchell is a 6'8 PF that only played ONE ranked team last year (Creighton, lol). Against those college teams, most of which ranked in the 200's (literally), he shot 44% from the field and 30% from 3. All his numbers went down from the year prior. He either fouled out or only had one more foul to give in nearly half of the games last year.

He has talent, but all of that above is a definite red flag(s).

People have bad games.. but does this 'look' like an NBA PF?

Against Florida International (lol) - 32 minutes, 0pts, 2rbs, 4PF's
Against LA-Lafayette (lolololol) - 25 minutes, 3pts, 4rbs, fouled out

In the Florida Int'l game he was guarding Tyrnell Murphy who put up 22pts and 2rbs.
In the LA-Lafayette game, Mitchell was guarding Shawn Long (mostly) who put up 23pts and 15rbs.

Ouch. Nice find. I too was intrigued by Mitchell during last year's draft. He went back to school, didn't have a great year, and I became skeptical. But I didn't look at these numbers. Thanks Patty.

i dont think Mitchells value comes at PF!!!

this is a Terrence Jones type Tweener, but i really like his value Defending SF's that impose their strength on Hayward...
hes got quick enough feet to play SF, and Mitchell is a terror on the fast break, sportcenter top 10 waiting to happen

also obviously Tony Mitchells coach is an imbecile, those stat decreases have something to do with that

heres Terrence Jones and Tony Mitchells combine measurments according to DX
Mitchell - 6' 8.75" 236lbs 7' 2.5" wingspan 8' 10.5" standing reach 5.6%bodyfat 33.5standing vertical 38.0max vert 13benchpress reps 11.82lane agility
Jones - 6' 9.5" 252lbs 7' 2.25"wingspan 8' 11" 7.7 standing reach 7.7% bodyfat 29.5standing vertical 34.5max vert 12bench press reps 11.57lane agility

he actually reminds me of a poormans Shawn Kemp

so too skinny to play pf? Tony Mitchell is not that, neither is Terrence Jones

Tony Mitchell and Terrence Jones are also both quick enough to guard Bigger, Stronger 3's... like Harrison Barnes or Gerald Wallace

but Tony Mitchell and Terrence Jones i think can guard Durant way better than Giannis at any point during his maturity

Yet TJones' numbers were better across the board vs. far superior talent.

^^^

I stopped reading at "Terrence Jones Type Tweener".

No thanks.

^^ and whats giannis?

"Kevin Durant Type Tweener".

LMAO..... that was ACTUALLY funny, KKK

Agree with all dat

Giannis has great defensive potential but i dont think its more Help Defense than Lockdown wing, Giannis' best attribute will be rebounding and in transition, at least for his rookie contract, and some blocks

im not arguing that Mitchells better im just saying his measurements are similar and i found it suprising that he benched more reps than t jones weighing considerably less

Once Mo Harkless was off the board i had Terrence Jones as BPA, so close to the lottery

Mitchell i think doesnt deserve to be near the lottery, not because of his talent or stats, but his red flags are numerous

that being said #21 is a crapshoot, why not gamble on a player like that, if he can play some lockdown d on 3's and 4's, give us energy off the bench i think mitchell will get better every year
