Following potential 2013 draftees

I say 2007 in a landslide.. followed by 2006 and 2011.

In a stellar class .. here are those same names for 2013.

2013
#1 PG Andrew Harrison
#1 SG Aaron Harrison
#2 SG James Young
#1 SF Andrew Wiggins
#1 PF Julius Randle
#5 PF Marcus Lee
#1 C Dakari Johnson

all signed at one college.. except for we're still waiting on word from Wiggins. I am shameless.. I know.

Jebus thats not even fair. I still dont understand how KY gets these guys to buy into not being the man. Someone is not not going to whiff the spotlight that they would on any other top 25 program.

*Edit- BTW not whinning just amazed.

I knwo it was talke about 200 or so pages back, but Norvelle Pelle was a really promising prospect. UNLV was in the hunt and lost out. Are there any reports on what he has been up to? I would love a flyer on him.

Probably because they realize that their HS hype will carry them into being a high draft pick as long as they aren't terrible their freshman year. By playing with a lot of other great players, they can just do enough to show their potential without really exposing their weaknesses. They will also get the "winner" label even though they aren't (Cousins, Wall, MKG, Davis, etc.).

That plan kind of back fired this year though because the whole team collectively sucked, so it made everyone actually look worse.

Still mad he chose Tennessee over UK?
Why would I be? lol

I've heard his name thrown around as a mid-rounder (1st).

Pretty true.. kind of like the Jazz though.. talented, but no PG and no leader.

He's entering the draft. FWIW, I like him as much as WCS who might not enter the draft. But it depends on what shape he's in and if he's gained some strength.

This is an email I got from someone on the UK coaching staff (not a coach).. outlining their thoughts from today's MickeyD's practice.

Aaron Gordon was the best player in the gym today. Julius Randle, Dakari Johnson and Andrew Wiggins were very good.

James Young and Marcus Lee missed most of practice with minor injuries, both will be fine by tomorrow.

That leaves the Harrison twins. To be honest, neither one was anywhere near their best today.

Aaron struggled with shot selection and didn't finish opportunities that he normally would. Andrew was a little careless with the ball, leading to some unnecessary turnovers.

I don't want to say that twins are cocky, but they looked a little big too comfortable out there today, with all the other guards wanting to overtake them in the rankings. I'm sure they'll get it going by tomorrow, but today wasn't there day.

The dunk contest tonight WILL feature Wiggins and Gordon (YES!) as well as six others who will basically battle for third place. The three-point shooters have not been named, but I would think that Aaron Harrison will be on the list.

Nice.

Saric shoots only 36 percent from the field and a pathetic 30 percent from 3. He's a good not great athlete and will struggle to stay in front of 3s in the association. So why would we draft him again?

The few times I've seen Gordon play he has looked like he has aaaallllooooonnnnnnngggggg way to go before he is a good "basketball player". He looks uncomfortable with the ball, is really stiiff (IMO), terrible shot that needs a ton of work. Hell of a dunker though.
