Following potential 2013 draftees

Oh please. You don't know if somebody's agenda ruined his dream. How do you even know what his dream is? All you have is pure speculation right now. Maybe he really enjoys college and wants to stay a little bit longer. Maybe he thinks he can improve, and wants to help his team do better. There's a myriad of reasons.

Now let me ask you something. I remember last year, there were rumors that Anthony Davis or MKG (I can't remember which) might stay in school because they loved it. Now I remember you saying you thought it was stupid, but I don't remember you ever implying that somebody with an agenda was telling them to stay in school and potentially ruin their dreams. Keep it consistent old man, keep it consistent.

Oh.. and those guys DIDN'T stay! Do I have to spell it out for you, bro?

I'm not saying that Smart is making the best decision money wise, but at the end of the day, this is a good thing for NBA teams and for the college game.

If he doesn't pan out, then an NBA team doesn't waste a lottery pick on him. That's a good thing.

If he does pan out, then a team will still be able to pick him high, he'll still get plenty of money, and he still would have gotten the chance to expand his education.

I fail to see how that's a bad thing. Of course, I'm one of the ones who would prefer that they make the NBA draft similar to the MLB draft in that you either leave after high school or you stay in college for 3 years, but nobody's asking me.

It has never happened.. ever. That's my point.

I just think accusing a coach of having an agenda and ruining a kids dreams is a baseless accusation. You don't know all the details. You don't know what made him stay. Just look at the positives, we get another year to see if he is good enough, we get another year of him developing, and he gets to expand his education.

What's wrong with that?

There is a body of evidence.. that is all-telling. **** me, Hantlers.. I admitted K is better at coaching than Cal, can't you admit he is the best at maximizing their timing .. and I think the data is incontrovertible.

Chad Ford now reporting Shane Larkin is leaning toward declaring for the NBA Draft after being 50/50. I definitely wouldn't mind having Larkin on the team at all.

Not very fond of Larkin, huh? My order of point guards in this draft as of now is: Burke, McCollum, Larkin, MCW, Wolters, and Kabongo.

"I hope he jumps" means I hope he declares because I think he has value .. not sure how you would get I don't I don't like him from that...

Look, I have no problem with kids going early if they want to. I also have no problem with a kid staying to try to get better, win more games and get more schooling. Both situations are a win for the kid in my book.

I definitely see what you mean now, Larkin is definitely a great pick at #20 or #21 right now. Who knows maybe he rises up draft boards and is in play for the #14 pick...

No, no, no.

I'd wager a bet that I've watched more of Larkin than anybody else on this board. He's very fun to watch, and improved dramatically from his freshman to sophomore year. With that said, he's a very erratic player. He has some moxy, but sometimes too much. If you think Mo plays hero ball...well then you probably wouldn't like Larkin.

He's not tremendously athletic, but he's very quick. Quick hands, quick feet, gets in passing lanes well, seems to have fairly good instincts. Average passer for a PG at best. Not a great shooter, but can make an open shot. Average to below average length and size. I don't think he'll ever be anything more than a backup.
