Following potential 2013 draftees

I've been on the Bullock's bandwagon for a while now.

Is he a reach at #21?

Yes.

Can he play the Wesley Matthews type role for us (locked down D's & spot on 3's)?

Yes.

Is he a bargain of the century at #21 if he could do that?

Hell Yes.

re: Giannis vs. Bullock debate

Next year's players under contract:
PG: ? ? ?
SG: Hayward, Burks, Murphy
SF: Marvin,
PF: Favors, Evans
C : Kanter,

Speculation is Foye will be back. Maybe Carroll too.

I think both Hayward and Burks are best at SG, which means Jazz need a SF I think. I love Carroll - if Ty will play him. But I think it's worth drafting a SF in hopes of him being a stud. Maybe Bullock isn't an upgrade on Carroll (maybe a slight one but I love Carroll's infectious hustle). So maybe Giannis edges out Bullock. GF is a gamble in the hopes of him panning out I guess. Maybe Giannis can play PG, since we'd need help there.

Bullock is 6'7. I think he can guard NBA SFs.

I'd rather be seen as that than someone who says "call me crazy for being less than thrilled that the Jazz might draft what would be arguably the smallest player in the NBA with their first pick" and everyone thinks I just said "LARKIN TOTALLY SUCKS AND WILL TOTALLY BUST. I KNOW THIS. WRITE IT IN STONE. ALSO, SIZE IS THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS, DRAFT SARIC.".

That seems to happen alot around these parts, you say one thing then someone ( I wont give specific names because I am a pansy) will call you out about it saying you said something like "LARKIN TOTALLY SUCKS AND WILL TOTALLY BUST. I KNOW THIS. WRITE IT IN STONE. ALSO, SIZE IS THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS, DRAFT SARIC."

Fwiw.. next year has lots of sf's.. as does the following.. year after there are like none.

Carry on.

id like the Jazz to take care of PG first and in the 2nd, and hopefully a falling C project@21 ( i really like Isaiah Austin next year at C, but i like the potential of the C's in this years class too.)

if the jazz fix PG and C in 2013 (Adams/Gobert @14, Shroder@21)

SF all the way in 2014.. (Noah Vonleh)

or if the pick is really high in the 20's, the Best Wing available (im thinking maybe Gary Harris or Rasheed Suilamon)

I think so too. But so can Carroll.
And PKM says there are SFs next year (best case: Wiggins or Parker).
So maybe don't draft a SF this year.
Draft PGs and Cs.

Well let's say we draft Schroeder at #14.

At #21, it's unlikely there'll be a decent C to grab. Adams and Gobert will be gone. SF is the strongest position at around the #21 pick: Saric, Karasev, Giannis, Bullock, Snell, Franklin. Just solid solid role players to be had all with great potential.

There's no guarantee we'll get Wiggins/Parker next year. Bullock is much more than Carroll IMO, that 3 pt shooting will really help us spread the floor.

Welcome to JazzFanz.

Any euro guys along the same mold of m. Gasol coming along?

So many euro bigs have soft offensive touch, but are so weak defensively a la p. Gasol, dirk, bargnani, gallinari, memo.... M Gasol is the only one in recent memory who is the complete package. Want to see more like him.

ill take Giannis over Bullock @21, whos to say how that kid plays out, he will fit in with our athletes here, and hopefully fall in line..

i do not think Reggie Bullock is the 2nd coming of Danny Green.

danny green is a boss, Bullock is a roleplayer

What were you expecting an all-star at 21? Danny green has developed into a nice player but he struggled when he came in the league so he was a project too. I know nothing about Giannis except for one video I saw on you tube against basically high school competition. Why did he not play for the International team at Hoops Summit? Giannis might be great but it is a toss-up for me because I think both have similar potential.

I think Adams has that potential. He's a legit 7 footer. He's got great size. He's tough mentally and defensively. He's got a long way to go offensively, but he already has a decent 12 foot jumper.

I've been pretty into Bullock for some time (starting when DX had him mocked as the 2nd rounder for the Jazz). I wouldn't be upset if the Jazz drafted him at 21, but I'm just about positive someone I like more (I still can't shake being high on Adetkljasdkf) will be available at that spot.
