Following potential 2014 draftees

And back to the topic, I see Marcus Smart is the only college-level player invited to the Team USA mini-camp. Result of the 1-and-done trend. Top young players are either ineligible because they're just entering college or have just been drafted. However, it's interesting that none of the top-10 picks in the draft were invited (sorry, Trey).

I have no idea what everyone is talking about, but tttkkk continues to just dominate as the most embarrassing poster on the board (with his new toadie keeping pace).

Am I the only one who's iffy on Smart? I think he'll be good, but I was never convinced he was on a separate level from Burke and McCollum. DX and Ford both have him ranked above Jabari...

Thought his name was cool until everyone at my school starting calling each other names by putting switching the first letter in their first name and the first letter in their last name. Smh. It's sooooo annoying.

Why is your school hopping on my dick like that?

Marcus Smart has elite hands, balance and anticipation, this is being underrated by the average draftwatcher, also i think because of his size people just dont want to believe hes a primary ballhandler, plus hes a sophomore which to some means "well he wasent good enough to declare as a freshman" which obviously is bs.. DX and Ford believe hes going to play point guard.

Smart compares favorably to Chauncey Billups who was a #3 pick.

Also Smart was the only college player invited to the Team USA minicamp, and apparently they love him

^Spoiler alert^ - chad ford says Orlando would have taken him 2nd in this past draft

I like him. He's got good upside and his flaws seem pretty fixable. I just have issue with putting him over Jabari.

And one mock I saw has Randle over Jabari. No big deal. The college season and workouts will sort everything out. Right now you probably can't go wrong with one of the first six projected picks: Wiggins, Parker, Randle, Smart, Harrison, Exum. And the next several players look pretty good as well. But if we do finish somewhere in that 5-10 range, we just have to hope all these guys DO come out in 2014.

- I agree that Smart is good but laughable to have him ahead of Parker
- UK's freshmen all declined invites to Team USA in order to get to work on team chemistry
- who is kkk's "toadie?"
- it's no wonder ugli did the whole first name last name switch hitter thing..

it would suprise me, tbh.

duke players historically dont win much in the nba (only duke players to win an NBA championship in the coach K era is, Danny Ferry as a benchwarmer on the 02 spurs, and now ****stain shane battier 2x)

and even more important than that, duke players just dont live up to their draft pick, yet these duke players continue to get more press for "doing it the right way"

Shelden williams was the 6th pick.
Mike Dunleavy was picked 3rd.
Jay Williams was picked 2nd.
Corey Magette was picked 13th.
Trajan Langdon was picked 11th.
Elton Brand went 1st overall.

i can go on and on but im kinda busy,

theres been a few legit duke players, but they to me dont seem like the typical "duke" players

mainly Luol Deng, and Kyrie Irving... both of these players are the clear outperformers, i think not only will Jabari get the classic "coached by coach k" bump in stock, cemented by the slobbering of dickie v' and his love for duke, and the nonstop buzzing that will go on in national media... id assume the duke hype machine will be play the "best freshman ever at duke card" to inflate his value... not that his value isnt great all by himself, wait til the hypenitis sets in

expect comparisons to durant

A ****ing men to that ********. Soooo tired of it.
I would like to point out, however, that Duke's 5star players have outperformed Roy's fives while at UNC.
