Following potential 2014 draftees

Assuming Embiid progresses nicely throughout this season, could anyone see him going 3rd in his draft? If drafting purely on potential, Wiggins would be number one and I think Embiid would be two.

He is already in the discussion for the third pick. If he had a great season, he could be number one.

Also, I'm getting the feeling that Aaron Harrison is going to rise above his bro.

Getting Parker/Wiggins with their own pick and then WCS with the Golden State pick would be about as badass of a draft as you can possibly expect. Plus add in their early 2nd round pick and getting Neto over and the Jazz are looking really good for next year.

Tier 1 - Wiggins and Parker
Tier 2 - Randle, Exum, Smart and Embiid.
Tier 3 - everyone else. . .

Anything but a top two pick is a letdown. Anything outside of top 6 is sad in this draft. Good players, but missing out on elite #1 overall type guys.

It's not hard .. at all .. to imagine Parker falling to #3.

Beside our own second round pick, do we get the Denver or GS seconds this year?

Utah receives Golden State's 2014 1st round pick , Richard Jefferson, Andris Biedrins, Brandon Rush, 2016 2nd round pick, 2017 1st and 2nd round pick, 2018 2nd round pick (DEN) and cash consideration in a three team trade. The Nuggets received Randy Foye and a 2018 2nd round pick from the Warriors in a sign-and-trade agreement with Andre Iguodala. The Warriors also got Kevin Murphy.

Holy hell! I had forgotten how awesome that trade was.

And all for taking on expiring trash to free up cap space. My hope is that the Jazz trade away Rush, Jefferson and Marvin At the deadline for any type of draft assets they can get so that they have the cap space to take on a bigger contract with two years from a team over the luxury tax and grab another draft asset either from 2014 or 2015. I want them to load up with young guys until they figure out who can play and who can't.

There is going to be a bunch of decent rotation players in the teens of this draft, including Saric, Selden, Harrisons, James Young, maybe Rodney Hood.
