Following potential 2014 draftees

Yes, I believe a player named Clint from France is what we need to re-energize the franchise.

Edit: okay, I'll check him out....

Talk I'm hearing around Europe says Dario Saric is only 50/50 to enter the draft. Could very well decide to move to Spain/Turkey this summer

Apparently Saric doesn't feel he's ready for the NBA and isn't happy with his draft projection. Reportedly fired his US and Croatian agents.

Dario Saric may still elect to enter the draft, get picked, and stay another year or two in Europe. Lots of confusion around his situation.

interesting...

Dario Saric is mad dumb.

Then again, his draft projection actually got better this year, so maybe it will do the same next year.

So it seems like every year there is a PG that shoots up the board at the end of the year. Last year it was Burke. For a while we were thinking he would be available at 14, but then rose up the board, and we were shocked he was available at 9. 2 years ago Lillard jumped up the board to be the 6th pick. This year it seems like Tyler Ennis is the most likely candidate for that. If he leads Syracuse to a final four run, and possibly a championship, how high could he be taken? Is there a chance he might be taken in the 5-7 range over a Smart, Exum, Randle, or Gordon? Where is his ceiling for where he could be drafted?

Who in the lottery really needs a PG though?

That is the problem. PG's rise because someone needs a PG, no one in the lottery has a glaring hole at PG. Only team that comes to mind are the Magic. They are drafting too high with their pick, but could pick him with the Nuggets pick.

If Syracuse did win it, somebody would take Ennis over those guys, and they would be making a mistake.

I like Ennis, possibly more than I like Burke, but he's not better than Smart, Exum, etc etc.

I like Dekker. Early in the season I was hyping him as a lottery pick, then he kind of had a bad month or so of games, and I kind of realized that he isn't ready to be a lottery pick. Just doesn't have ability to create his own offense. Like him if the Warriors make the playoffs though. Good D, Good shot, good athlete.

I don't know. Orlando (who if they don't get top 3 might prefer Smart, or wait until later in the lottery to get Ennis with the pick from Den). Lakers if they don't think Marshall is the answer. Kings always seem down for picking a PG. I don't think it's likely. He will probably go around 10, but if the right team is picking 5-6 it could happen.

Edit: Also, if Boston decides that Rondo isn't in the long term plans and can find a trade partner.

This is probably a lazy comparison, but Dekker and Parsons remind me a lot of each other. Average to good shooters from deep, athletic, smart players, struggle from the FT line. Granted Parsons has done much better in the NBA than I thought, but Dekker does remind me of Parsons in college.

Possibly. Parson's rise in the NBA has been weird. Not really sure what his handle is like though. Dekker's dribble is awful.

Yeah, I suppose that would be a major difference. Parson's could handle the ball fairly well in college if I remember right. Dekker seems like a 3 and D type of guy to me, which we could use.

DX tweets about Jusuf Nurkic:
Very difficult not to go overboard from what we saw from Jusuf Nurkic tonight. 16 points & 15 rebounds in 17 minutes, w/out breaking a sweat

Probably need to move Nurkic into the lottery, and that might still be too low. His talent is simply off the charts.

Bosnian version of DeMarcus Cousins? RT @jondelapresa: awesome potential, gotta improve Nurkic's attitude tho, but game comes so easy to him
