Google Marvin Williams
I would say Marvin was a more consistent contributor though, and his body was obviously more NBA ready. Atlanta kind of regrets taht pick though.

And his game dropped significantly in conference play. That is a big red-flag that the player gets overwhelmed by competition.
For the lazy.. who we tawkin?

Backtracking, how typical. Yeah but yeah but yeah but....
LOL.
The point is, Marvin wasn't a starter and contributed immediately to the NBA. True, it's probably more of the exception than the rule. But it sort of blows up your point that a player who doesn't start in college won't contribute immediately to the NBA.
Lastly, there are literally only 2-3 players that Atlanta probably wishes they had taken instead of Marvin. Altogether, he wasn't that bad of a pick.

Andrew Wiggins: 0
Jabari Parker: 0
Andrew Gordon: 15
Yeah, Gordon is more proven. Sure. If I'm a GM and drafting in the top 10, then yeah, I'll draft Gordon ahead of LaVine.
However, the nba favors quick and fast guards. It is a PG driven league. Let's check back in 3-5 years and see where we're at. I've been right on things like this before. In fact, hantlers tried a few weeks ago to bring up a thread in which I made predictions on the draft. I was 100 percent correct too on those predicted from that draft.

Tomorrow's matchup.. Randle vs. Gordon.
Tomorrow's matchup.. Randle vs. Gordon.
Think Randle is playing Louisville tomorrow tbh.
A lot of it has to do with the physique more than anything with Lavine. I just don't see him playing much at that size. Not sure they even feel confident enough in his ball handling ability and decision making to play backup point.
I would love to see those two match up.
Even though Gordon isn't the strongest guy in the post, he generally does a good job of keeping players posted out of deep post.
