Following potential 2014 draftees

I agree, the thought is Kanter (at PF) can extend his range to the three point line. He probably has a better chance of hitting threes than any big not named Parker in this draft.
So you would have:

Favors
Kanter
A. Gordon
Hayward
Burke

6th: Burks

Bench: Evans, Gobert, Clark, Neto?, FA, GS pick

I am not super high on Gordon, but we need a big athletic player that can some day slow down guys like Durant and Lebron. It all comes back to them, they are the gatekeepers. If we don't draft one will have to overpay on the free agent market.

If we want Gordon then we need to trade our other 1st rounder and package it up with a player from our roster to draft him.

Using our top pick on him would be a tremendous waste.

It's pretty simple, our pick needs to be our franchise go to player. Wiggins, Parker, Embiid, Exum. Those will be the most likely options.

Drafting Gordon is fine. Just not in the top 5.

Make no mistake, our franchise it at a crossroads here. We screw up here we are screwed for the next 3+ years.

I dont know why people talkin about Gordon and Vonleh. We are getting a top 2 pick this year. We are not picking one of them.

Agree with you. Wiggins, Exum and Parker ar my top 3. And I have Vonleh ranked higher than Randle or Gordon because I think he's going to be a more complete player.

I agree with your list. My list goes as follows:

Elite two way player
Elite player
Two way player

Vonleh and Favors are very similar players, js. Do we want two Favors on this team? Wouldn't it be harder to score?

1 has problems hitting everything other than dunks, the other has range to the NBA 3 point line. Yip. Basically the same.

I like him too. I wouldn't be upset to somehow snag LaVine either. He certainly needs polish but just about every top player does.

So we're talking Gortat?

Don't twist my words.

Gortat by the way is kinda funny. See yourself...

I would say I would loosen up a little bit the rules about the fighting fines. That’s what I would loosen up. Because today you go to an ice hockey game, and the one thing they’re waiting for is a fight, you know what I’m saying? So if they could set it up something like that in the NBA. That if there are two guys and they have a problem, if they could just separate everybody. And these two people that have problem, if they could fight …

During the game?

During the game. Quick, 15-20 seconds, throw few punches, then referees jump in and break this thing up. I think the game … these two guys, they resolved their problem. They’re both suspended and they’re leaving. But end of the day, they fix the problem between each other, fans are super excited, and I think that would be a pretty cool idea [chuckles].

I like Gortat. I've liked him since Orlando.

I've watched him several times in person when he was playing for cologne as a young adult. Was like 18 back then and played several years in Germany. His physical profile was very impressive already back then for such a young guy.

He was a player I wanted Utah to get and then the Jazz got Al Jefferson.

I wonder if Embiid will be ready to play the summer league when he gets drafted? His back is still a concern and he might sit it out for safety reason.

I definitely see the jazz landing at number 3 when it's all said and done. Either Orlando or Philly will probably move up to the number 1. The team that has the 1 spot before the lottery draft always seems to move down a spot or two.

Vonleh shot 1 three every game. And he hit one three every other game. Dude definitely can stroke it.
