Agree with the position to stay at 5 and take the best player, and that they should try to move back into the top 10. . . but at what cost?

This seals it for me tbh. Done with Vonleh. If you can't stay in shape and take this part of the process seriously, you don't have what it takes to be great.

No excuse for this unless you are coming off a serious injury. He isn't. So that's it. AG it is all the way.

GM's were likely from Boston and Sacramento, trying to push Vonleh down to them.

This isn't a GM saying he's bad at something. They are saying he's not in shape. If he is indeed out of shape, I'm done. All we need to do is see him or video of him. No need for our opinion on his ability.

It makes the decision easy actually. Out of shape? Okay, all we need to know.

how about derrick favors for Alex Len and a pick in 2014, would you do that? could kanter easily play 4 next to a big 7'2 euro center? i think yes, kanter has good feet.

would we have a pale front line with gordon at the 3? would that work? do we have the proper guys to throw these skilled bigs inbounds-passes? burks is legit im sure of that, we need a PG (see 2013 thread, Schroeder)

well if this trade makes the jazz worse next year, isnt next years draft kinda worth not being competitive over.. thats what im kinda getting at with the Len/Favors swap, also wed have 2 picks in this scenario.

also id like to think they would actually start Len at 5, rookie season next to a slightly older Kanter, in this scenario wed actually somehow someway get younger, and be in position to get younger in next years draft. the utah jazz might be like the next benjamin button

my first posts in this thread. we could have secured a top pick easily, blamed it on injuries/youth, and had more flexibility this off-season.

Same difference. Remember when the "Jabari is fat" rumors were going around? Next thing we'll hear is Wiggins has been hanging out at Papa John's.

call it crazy, presumptuous or fan-fiction, idgaf. i think if Schroeder was the pick@14 and he didnt play well, Kendall Marshall would've been signed.

2013: draft of Len, Schroder and Mason Plumlee

presume the Rudy and GSW's trade also, i guess

Marshall / Schroder
Burks /
Hayward /
Plumlee / Evans
Kanter / Len / Rudy

Utah's pick would most likely have been top 3 this year, there would've been a 1st from the Len trade, and the GSW too.

and theres plenty of cap space for signing a Marcin Gortat, Kyle Lowry, or Luol Deng

It's not the same. A couple GMs slamming Vonleh for something like "he has no drive" or "his skills won't translate" or something that is just an opinion is different from saying "he's fat". If he isn't fat other teams will know by just working him out or seeing him.
