Spy is right. Mcdermott has no handles. He can develop some tho. However, if the normal rate is the rate at which G-Time develops them, then he never will.

But unlike Matt, McDermott has an ELITE skill; he's a lights-out shooter. If a team has enough other assets and can use McDermott strictly off the bench or in certain key spots they're going to get a helluva deal. But if a team needs him to be a 3rd option and start, then no, he wouldn't be a good pick for them. He'll go late lottery-teens. If he falls a bit, I could defintely see Phoenix taking him at #18.

Yep.

The flip side is that if the Lakers don't draft him (and they could have a him) then maybe he gets a chip on his shoulder and wants to prove that he is a far superior player to whoever the Lakers draft. That could be a great thing if you're the Jazz.

Ummm, he was at the Lakers game. What do you expect him to say, "no, LA is getting flattened by the Rockets. There's no way I want to be part of this franchise?"

If he were to attend a Bucks or Magic game, I would expect him - in front of reporters from that team - to say something about how much he could help that team with his skills. And of course a foreign player is going to want to play in LA or NY. What cities do you most want to see if you're not from the U.S.? If I were to go to France, I'd probably visit the team playing in Paris, not the Nancy boys (although I hear it's a lovely city).

Pretty smart move to try and coerce your way to the Lakers. Worst case if you don't get on the Lakers and you go somewhere else like (and look a little dumb for a moment) every other draft pick, or you go to the team you wanted and make a ton of money in endorsements for the rest of your career.

Before he went to the game last night he has been saying that he only wants the lakers to draft him.

Also i remember someone saying that he will only work out for LA
