Following potential 2014 draftees

I really like LaVine actually, but I'm not sure we have the culture to develop him. I think he would be an awesome addition to a good team because he will be moldable if given a lot of personal attention. A team with a new head coach and a TON of young players makes me wary of him.

no official number.

he does have man shoulders. but his arm looks pretty normal in length. honestly, if i had to guess - i would say around 7ft. i just don't see that freak wingspan when i see him.

His hands are 11'' long, I see he has two of them so 11'' x 2 = 22'' of just hands.

As for his arms, the average length of a sleeve like that is about 16" and I see about 8'' of bare skin left on his right arm, meaning each arm is about 24'' long (give or take some centimeters if he isn't completely symmetric of course). 24" x 2 = 48".

Currently at 70".

I can tell his chest is about 20'' long.

So that would give us 90'' of length. 90"/12 = 7 feet and 5 inches exact.

Jeremy Lamb, who was bigger and more advanced (but still super skinny and kind of raw), is kind of similar to Lavine. Lamb just started getting minutes this year, and has seen his minutes decrease every month since 2014.

Would rather have McDaniels tbh.

It's naive to think LaVine would've had a great season next year at UCLA if he stayed, when he left his dad compared it to a divorce, there was definitely some issues festering

his family said they didnt feel Zach was being given enough chance to compete, and "Every year he spends at UCLA after this one is a waste"

that to me doesnt sound like it was going to work out... sounds more like Zach was a Ben Howland recruit competing for minutes with the new coaches son

aka LaVine is a cry baby who thinks he should have seen in increase in minutes despite huge drops in production once UCLA went into conference play?

What was that old saying about big hands and their direct relationships to other parts of the body? Is that why you guys are on a several page fetish about hand size and even posting photos of them?

Definitely for the Jazz. I think LaVine would be a great pick for a contender, you have to remember that Lamb went like 12 overall.

I think LaVine has a good chance to be a nice player but will have to be brought along slowly and taught good habits.

Just becasue you don't have an advanced understanding of spatial relationships doesn't mean you can insult us.

Holy Batman!!! I just realized something, what if these players grow their fingernails out on measurement and athletic testing day? An extra inch of fingernail would make it seem like you can jump an inch higher, turning 39" verticals into 40'' verticals. Holy Jesus, do they a professional manicurist on the court?

An extra inch of fingernail would lead to an extra 2" in wingspan.

Have I just figured out the best loophole for athletes looking to improve measurements?

Now fabtrey is gonna have to learn how to measure a player's fingernails based on a picture? That dude's life just got THAT much harder.

Fabtrey can measure calluses grown on the bottoms of feet. Fingernails ain't nothing but a thang.
