Following potential 2014 draftees

I am not as big a fan of Parker as a lot of you guys are. If he is in bad shape I even like him less. He is a tweener on defense. I don't know if he is quick enough on defense to guard 3's and strong enough to guard 4s. I hope this rumor is just that a rumor since we haven't really seen him since the end of NCAA. There is no excuse if he is out of shape, I would not draft him if he was there.

This.

I'm still not convinced he won't have a hard time staying in shape with those Tongan genes...

Although this is largely predicated on the idea of Parker being out of shape I can see Randle jumping ahead of Parker. His measurements worked largely in his favor and even though I don't care for the athletic testing part of the combine Randle did well there as well. I think much like Davis of UK two years ago Randle didn't really display his full skill set. If he goes to work out for the Sixers and has consistent range on his jumper(which I've heard he does) and some improvement finishing with the right hand I could see Hinkie taking Randle over Parker out right. I feel Randle can guard 4's in this league on a nightly basis. Can Parker guard most 3's what about guarding 4's? So while I certainly wouldn't consider it likely I don't think it's a long shot either.

Exactly.

Probably been discussed, but does anyone think that saric could be a 3? His play from his DX scouting video was pretty SF-esque to me. I haven't seen much of him at all but he may be the most intriguing at 5 for me

I'm glad someone brought this up. I see him as a small forward tbh, but could fit well at the power forward as well.

Saric is a smallball PF from what ive seen and read, which is a good bit, he doesn't appear to have the lateral quicks for legitimate perimeter defense. hes no Gallinari on D

Holy Anjali. Gawddamn.

To heck with anyone else. I'll trade all my picks in this draft and for the next 10 years for Anjali.

Of course, then again, I would have said the same for some of the Kardashians years ago. My brother-in-law (who is an attorney) was a friend of the family before Robert got mixed up in the OJ Simpson trial. Beautiful family and very nice from what he tells me. But selling your soul to the the devil has its price and the family was never the same after Robert passed away and Bruce Jenner entered the picture.

#23 for Terrence Ross (probably have to add #35)??????

he made 2 3pointers per game on 5 attempts this season. hes skinny but quick and can play some SG and SF, just turned 23 but was a starter on a playoff team.

if the Jazz have their hearts set on Burks at 6th man, i think Ross could start here

what makes you think he's available?

hes probably not, just saying id pull the trigger on that... quickly

T Ross = rich mans Rodney Hood

Dion Waiters is probably more gettable for that type of value, though i dont think hes nearly as good a fit here (and definitely not a Jazzfanz favorite)

didnt expect to see hot daughters at the lottery last night

Anjali is fine as **** goddamn

Deserves its own thread tbh

"With a terrific 96.3 defensive rating, a 20.1 total rebound percentage, and an ACB-leading 7.96 block percentage, Tavares is also producing on the court.

Synergy Sports statistics also look fantastic for Tavares, as he is allowing only 0.675 PPP on post-ups, 0.824 PPP on pick-and-rolls, and 0.5 PPP on isolations.

When scouting Walter Tavares last year, I thought he'd be an extremely limited offensive player, but there is hope for him since he has improved his free throws to a respectable 76.6 percent. There are no guarantees that he translates that into a mid-range jump shot, but at least the production is there from the line.

Regardless, it's important to look at a big man's proficiency in the pick-and-roll, even if they have limited opportunities. There, it's easy to like what Tavares has accomplished. He slips nearly all of his screens (probably instructed to by coaches), but he rolls hard to rim and finishes well, with a quality 1.238 PPP."

I know we have a promising 7'2 center project already, but, if we have a roster spot for Beidrins, we have a roster spot for Tavares.

I dont see the Jazz going into next season with only Favors, Enes and Rudy at center so, why not a monster defensive prospect

This.

If Wiggins and Jabari are gone by #3 pick, 76ers already have Noel at the C, then pretty obvious they have a gaping hole at the PF position and these guys are ideal.

Noel is either PF or C like Ibaka. So 76ers have flexibility and almost everyone in the 2015 class would be a fit in their frontcourt. 2016 will be frontcourt heavy as well going by what I hear from PGAB.

He'll get the chance to defend SFs both on and off the ball. He shows good level of activity and okay-ish footspeed. Can't say it will be enough but because effort is there teams will tinker with him.

Wouldn't trade. Last season Ross's awareness has been their achilles heel in halfcourt defense. Gave up a lot of cuts and failed to recover after rotations. Errneous rotations. Would be just exchanging Burks's slashing vs Ross's spot up shooting. I think slashing is more important when I look at the incapability of Burke and Hayward to get to the rim.

I see what your intent is. He's about the same age as Gobert is, but I feel 2nd rounder should be more about fit, need and culture. I can't see both co-exist. If you have a trade for Gobert in place -> Do it! If not , stay away.

I think Tavares has a better feel for the game compared to Gobert.
