Following potential 2014 draftees

A pic of Jabari from yesterday. Givony said he didnt look out of shape, doesn't appear to have gained an extra 15-20lbs

Would we have to move up from #23 to get KJ McDaniels ?

Actually his stock is dropping, he didn't have a very good combine and measurements were bad. I like him but not as much as I did before because I thought he could play SF but his size seems to suggest he is more of a SG. I like Inglis and would take him at #35 and consider him at #23 depending on who else was available.

he can do every dunk btw that first one is really impressive though his head is way above the rim. the Jazz should really consider trading 23 and 35 for LaVine.

Kyle Anderson said hes going to be absolutely unguardable in about 2 years, I agree. I think he can give you a good 15mpg if needed as a rookie too, the sell is an easy one on LaVine IMO, world class athlete in transition, just turned 19 and hes not a one trick pony, brings quick release shooting off the catch or dribble and ballhandling to the table

I've been waiting for this time of year to finalize my thoughts on LaVine, I've had him as lottery grade throughout the season, since he first gained attention. My player comparison is one of his mentors, Jamal Crawford but more explosive I think he will be used in a similar role.

at this point I don't think theres much question about LaVine being a great development project, its more of a question if teams want another development project, I say the Jazz have room for a player like this and would trade 23 and 35.

I worry about his production for all that talent at UCLA he faded pretty quickly after he got on everyone's radar. I believe that some guys get overrated because they can jump out of the building and are great dunkers (Harold Miner, Gerald Green, James White) but dunking is for show and being able to make plays is how you earn your money. I think the Jazz don't have enough to move up to 14 to get him and he may go higher. I am 50/50 on the kid until he shows more production. However, he will win the dunk contest some day. I agree that he is a 2-3 year project if he puts on some muscle and learns the game of basketball he will be a tough guy to guard.

If you have a chance to draft an All Star like Parker, you don't pass on it to play roulette with 3 other picks.

I just said this in another thread, but I don't think the Jazz will be successful in trading for Parker. He's the safest pick in the top 3, and no GM sitting there is going to take the risk of passing on Jabari Parker for Vonleh or Exum. There's just no reason to do it, unless you need to win now and some team is offering you a 5x All Star.

That's if you think he is an all-star. However if you think the difference between Parker and say .. Exum is small then you don't make that trade. No one knows how the Jazz feel about either player at this point.

Something I didn't realize until now is the 76ers have seven picks in this draft: #3, #10, #32, #39, #47, #52, #54.

watch out for Gonzaga!

they will be in the top 5 at some point this year and just got a big transfer; USC's leading scorer Byron Wesley a big guard who rebounds which is just what they need.

Wiltjer and Sabonis will fill the Olynyk spot in the offense, Pangos will be healthy

THIS. For his athletic ability he did very little in halfcourt basketball.
And judging by his interviews he better is very talented and successful playing basketball. Because if he doesn't get it he'll be in the D-League very soon. But as soon as you hit the 10th pick he might be worth the risk if you feel you need talent down the road.

lmao

replace UConn with AZ and not bad... and I like Kansas and UNC this year as well.

Not sure if you saw the gag, and I know I sound stupid for trying to explain a joke and maybe it's even unwarrented. Nah nvm.
