Following potential 2015 draftees

It's really hard to judge a young player playing in China for good or for bad, but there are definitely some concerns regarding Mudia over in China. First off, I question how difficult the competition is playing against 5'10" chinese dudes that Stephon Marbury is dominating. Mudiay is shooting a respectable 50% FGs, but only 30% 3pt - worse than Exum against lesser competition and a closer 3pt line. He doesn't get to the line often and when he does, he's only a 58% FT shooter. He averages 3+ TOs. On the positive side, he does average 6 rebs and 6 assists.

Ultimately, who knows. The sample size is small, he's still very young and the competition is iffy. I wish he had gone to play in the one of the better leagues over in Europe.

Good points. Hard to judge against China talent.

You can tell he is talented and crafty. But he's not overly athletic and he's not a very good shooter. His biggest strength is his size for the PG position, and he appears to have a pretty decent handle. I know nothing about his defense or attitude.

a) They wouldn't have wanted him for the role that he wants for himself.
b) They wouldn't have paid him the chinese money.

Justise Winslow needs more love. He can play at both ends. Would be a great addition to our wings.

I'm not buying this being a weak draft. I think there's quality 2-3 quality (or better) NBA starters at every single position in the top 12-15.

Wow. I'm blown away.
This is the dude I want. Reminds me alot of deron williams.

What is his height and weight? Where is he being mocked to be drafted? Will the jazz even have a chance at getting him?

Would the jazz even draft him since they just barely drafted exum?
He's 6'5. Not sure about his weight, but you can tell he's built well for his age.

He's pegged as a top 3 pick along with Okafor and Towns.

I'm a big fan of Hezonja. I think he has All Star potential. He's running circles around his Euro competition in terms of athleticism.

Exum / Hezonja / Hayward are all triple-threat players.

was just thinking what this team would look like with kevon looney

exum 6-6
Hayward 6-8
looney 6-9
favors 6-11
Gobert 7-2

granted shooting would be bad but with burks and hood coming off the bench. defensively it would be hard to score inside on that team and there wouldnt be a lot of second chances.

Don't think Looney is a small forward... I need to watch him one more time, but I was unimpressed the first time I watched him. I'd rather take one of the SG/SF dudes than him personally.

Yep..

Looney is an underweighted PF. Period.

sorry you are on your period but

Looney will have offensive freedom from the wing position that was attractive, as well.

"I will play power forward and small forward," Looney said. "Rebound, lead the break, play on the wing, post, play fast and play slow. Coach Alford told me to watch how [guard/forward] Kyle Anderson and the Wear twins [seniors Travis and David] play."

looney can play both. has a tight handle

He's a PF. Not sure why you try to make him anything else....his elite skill is rebounding.

After a strong start to the season, Looney has been in a major offensive slump since the Kentucky game Dec. 20. He had just four points against Alabama, six against Colorado and eight against Utah on Sunday. Unfortunately, his elite rebounding numbers have dipped as well. UCLA, as a team, is a mess, but scouts seem less discouraged by Looney's poor play of late.

"I saw him in practice and the kid does so much more than he's really allowed to do on the court," one scout said. "UCLA needs him to play a certain way because they just don't have any real bigs to rely on. I think he has all the skills to be an NBA small forward. The more you see him in practice, the more you know there's more there than he's showing in games right now."

I don't know, I'm not feeling Mudiay. He looks good but not amazing. Then again D Will did a good job of being amazing without looking all that amazing. I guess there is a good reason some draft boards have him at #2 but it's not obvious to me.
