Following potential 2015 draftees

Well who do they have?
First of all Bill 'unreative dude' Self...
I didn't like Tharpe in 9 out of 10 games
Wayne Selden would have to make a huge leap to be a game changer
Frank Mason played out of control 80% of the time -> huge IMO unrealistiv improvement needed
CLiff Alexander and Kelly Oubre are incoming. I doubt they'll be more productive than the Wiggins + Embiid combo.
Then they have a couple low star recruits left like Jamari Traylor. You really think that's a elite 8 team?

Edit: Forgot Perry Ellis who still hast 1 day to declare even though I doubt he does. But I don't see him as much of a game changer.

They're Kansas, they'll be good. I don't even bother analyzing who's coming and going for that team.

You're not assuming internal improvement for Kansas but are willing to for UNC and Arizona?

Alexander looks like he'll be a beast.

Sometimes I fall into the trap of thinking Kansas might take a step back: If Kansas doesn't have a legit rim protector next season they could drop. Once Embiid went out last year their D got abused. Self has always had a big rim protector to solidify the typically elite Kansas D.

But they'll be elite no matter cuz they're Kansas.

I honestly overread UNC. Don't know much about their roster.

But I doubt Ellis has another gear(in case he returns). As stated previously I mostly don't like their point guards. They'd have to install some pretty good spacing to enable Alexander to be efficient in an halfcourt offense. and open up driving lanes. Ellis hasn't done much from deep. Selden and Mason were below 33% and Tharpe was slightly above average at 38%.
And last year Kansas halfcourt offense was their neckbreaker lead by a junior...

Original score analysis

Have to analyze score from three films with something in common - i.e. composer, director, story, etc.

Watching Boogie Nights now. Just got done rewatching There Will be Blood and The Master. Love the Johnny Greenwood scores

Valid concerns. Their spacing is usually poor.

I think Ellis will be more efficient from three next year. Also, I can see Frankamp playing a bit at point guard, which would do wonders for their spacing. They should be able to get away with Frankamp on defense because of their size and athleticism elsewhere.

Me too.

Are you in grad school? I forget.

I don't know if that Frankamp dude is a legit talent, but his stats from last year suggest that his tournament performance was a hot streak compared to the rest of the season.
We'll see but on paper this next team looks not particularly exciting IMO.

Damn, son.. you're good at this.

thx homie.

I like Turner.. but Alexander is much more the beast.
Turner = upside
Alexander = dominant college player

My issue with Turner is just hes pretty damn akward, he looks funny running, moves like someone much taller than 6'11

Alexander is a beast, IMO he will be a huge advantage for Kansas at Center. hes built to battle bigger players, the Chicago wars with Okafor prove that beyond a shadow of a doubt imo, no one in this class defends Jahlil better. i worry about any Nadiir Tharpe led team but i think Kansas will be one of the top 5 teams for sure

as far as their shooting is concerned, watch out for Sophomore Brannen Greene to make a big step forward this season, he can stroke it

Frankamp is legit, just needed some time to adjust.

He's a threat to shoot from anywhere on the court, and having a guy like that on that team will be very helpful.
