What's new

Following potential 2015 draftees

Gonzaga should dominate the WCC next year, same with Wichita St in the MVC

the Zags could be really dangerous with the additions of Sabonis and Wiltjer, they will have finally replaced Olynyk

DX has 6'6" Marc Garcia as a Lottery pick. looks interesting enough to follow next year, hes gotta add weight though hes Rudy Fernandez skinny

Diop apparently has a 7'8" wingspan at 6'11", ya gotta love his mobility and he can hit a mid-range jumper... should be near the lottery

we have 2 '94 born Juniors in the 2014 draft, Jarnell Stokes and Elfrid Payton

Cody Riley one of the top ranked players in the Freshman highschool class(class of 2017) is '97 born

Connor Frankamp gonna get a lot of playing time next year.

He can shoot the lights out…they could have used that last year.

ec

We should tank for her next year.

Giggity.

Devonte Graham commits to Kansas. It sounds like hes the playmaker, Frank Mason can get to the rack and Frankamp is the shooter. it should be an interesting battle for minutes

You have strong feelings on Graham? Have heard some media gushing that this makes them instantly tons better.. but I don't really get it. Is Graham really supposed to be that good (or is it more that Tharpe was just that bad)??

I really have no opinion as I've never watched the kid play.

I actually like Graham a good bit, hes a late bloomer a 2 star guy that catapulted up to #36, at 6'2" he can do some things hes got athleticism and defensive potential, but hes very natural handling the ball always with his head up looking to pass, plus he shot over 40% from 3 last year

If i had to bet on either him or Ullis making it in the NBA, id take Graham

Yeah.. I don't see Ulis being an NBA guy at 5'8/5'9.

Thanks for the reply on Graham.

Using the best ranking of DX and nbadarft, the following are '15's projections from UK.

#4 - Karl Towns
#8 - WCS
#11 - Marcus Lee
#18 - Dakari Johnson
#24 - AA Harrison
#25 - Alex Poythress
#26 - AN Harrison

Surprised to not see Trey Lyles on either's list considering he's the #5 ranked player coming out of HS.

Read something about dakari barely seeing the floor next year because every front court player on the roster is superior to him. You agree with that?

Mostly. However, we saw in the tourney, with WCS out, that Dakari is a man on offense. No one could defend him in the post. So offensively he may be our best low post scorer. Definitely better than WCS and Lee. Towns is way, way more versatile and as a 7 footer can run a break, pass, and shoot from the perimeter.. but he's not as strong as Dakari down low.

Mostly Dakari is just a bit too slow in transition, laterally, and switching. That's what will keep him off the floor if anything.
I actually think WCS, Dakari, Lyles, Towns, and Lee all get fairly equal minutes until the post season tourneys when Cal will tighten the rotations for the tourney run.

Karl Towns is really, really interesting.

What I have seen of Towns is insanely impressive. I dont know how he is not projected number one and at worst top three next year.

I think it should look like this:

1) Towns
2) Mudiay
3) Oubre (might laugh now, but he is legit)

Okafor and Alexander are really underwhelming as next level prospects in my eyes.

Still a while for schedules to be released but we know some games and there's going to be some damn good OOC games next year. To name a few.

UK vs. Texas (they're going to be good this year... oh, Rick Barnes oof.)
UK vs. UNC (THEY'll be good)
UK vs. KANSAS (very good)
UK vs. Louisville
UK vs. UCLA
UK vs. Providence
UF vs. KANSAS

AND of course UK and UF will play a couple time.
