In other Asian basketball news, Manny Pacquiao has gone Tree Rollins apparently and coaches/plays in the PBA now. Dude does it all.

But can he shoot it well enough to stay on the floor? I don't want another Al Farouq Aminu.

His shooting mechanics are not flawed, Shooting is one of the skills that most players do improve when they get to the League, Stanley has an insane work ethic, I believe he can shoot in the upper 30's in his prime, no problems.

Al Farouq Aminu's PER this year, so far, is 33.32, He's shooting 67% from the field, 33% from 3 and 75% from the line.

16 points(6/7 shooting), 10 rebounds, 1 stl, 1 assist in 20 minutes

I was laughing my *** off watching this live.

It will be a bit of an adventure with Stanley Johnsons shooting for the first few years i presume, (not anything worse than what Hayward did last year) his contributions in other facets of the game are why the Jazz NEED him though.

Kelly Oubre on the otherhand, makes the game look very easy, he's got enough talent to murder you while coasting, (that includes shooting from deep), Stanley seems to have a more intense and focused demeanor. The Jazz are absolutely gonna need some lucky lottery results to land Oubre though.

James Young made the game look easy until he got to college as well. Pretty easy to shoot over 5'8" kids all day when you have a 7' wingspan. We'll see if he fares better than Young did.

Lol Stephon Marbury sighting. Didn't know he was still playing.

Kelly is much more battle tested than your giving him credit for! He wasnt playing 5'8" kids this summer, and this summer is when his value ascended safely into the top 5, He's clearly the best SG/SF in this draft (IMHO)

Its actually a pretty cool story, Justise Winslow(duke) and Justin Jackson(unc) were the headliners on his AAU team, Houston Hoops, and Oubre stole the show.

I think he can basically do it all. he most likely develops into a deadly step-back jump shooter, and hes got tons of range meaning he might be taking a step back from the 3 point line to get an open look.

I dont like Kansas, and ive got him #1 on my board... Stanley Johnson is a much better defender than he will see on a nightly basis at KU, and Kelly made it rain on him at the Addidas Nations camp.

Some started comparing him to Vince Carter this summer, im not sure about that, he reminds me of James Harden tbh

... didnt know Zyzz was still alive. Didnt you die in Thailand in 2011?

either way;

ZYZZ status for life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wtf when did PB&J come back?

just for the weekend. every few ill pop in and flood these draft threads, I have most of this stuff committed to memory, so id rather dump it and see some reactions.

Ive been ready for the 2015 draft for quite some time, Ive actually bridged the gap and found a prospect from the year 2000, thats playing professionally already, so yall cant tell me **** about my 2019 draftee's thread, all of those players were born in the 90's. So I've been kinda looking at the 90's born players as a whole, and searching for ones flying under the radar. Dajour Dickens just hit the scene last week. Kostas Antetekounmpo starts HS ball soon as a SR, and Alexis Antetekounmpo will be a freshman.

as for 2015

Karl Towns could rise up my draft board to the top, but I've gotta see him play PF before i can really pass judgement, I think he's a C though, but PKM has convinced me to take a wait and see attitude. If Karl Towns can play PF, hes got the biggest standing reach for any PF ever, combined with Rudy that'd be great to watch, sounds like Thomas Robinsons worst nightmare.

I really want the Jazz to get one of, Marc Garcia or RJ Hunter, bring in the firepower, I still contend that Garcia is a better longterm prospect than Nik Stauskas, I think hes got more natural scoring abilities.

I believe some team (one who likes to shoot corner 3's) will go out on a limb and overdraft Garcia tbh. Marc's $$$ with the game on the line.

I like Garcia as well, pure scorer, he gets 20 mins per game in ACB now. Very impressive considering his age.

Have you watched 97 born Furkan Korkmaz? Very similar player to Garcia except he has much better athleticism and better rebounding. He is a great shooter just like Garcia and he likes to shoot and score in high volume. I have some question marks about Garcia's athleticism for the NBA but I'm much more confident about Furkan regarding athleticism.

But Furkan is still too young and I want too see him in the next U18 EC to be sure about his development. He has done great job in previous U16 and U18 tournaments but it's important to see whether he has the work ethic or not. You can see some highlights from his U16 and U18 performances here. At this point I think Garcia is slightly better shot creator, but they are both pure scorers and great shooters so I think they can both play in the NBA.

love to see the posts of ectya and pgab. you guys gp have some insane knowledge.

I like oubre but I worry about his mind.
stanly Johnson is my #1 I think he would move Hayward to the 2 Alec as 6th man extraordinar. hood wood be a great compliment to burks on the bench.

I have to think Porzingis is pretty high on the Jazz's draft board. He'd be about the perfect complement to Favors and Gobert.

It was just an exhibition, but that's all we've got thus far..

UK (ranked #1 in the country, Div1) vs. the #1 ranked team in the country NAIA (think Div2, roughly).

UK played 13 guys and no one played more than 20 minutes. Here are the stats adjusted to 34 minutes of play;

--

Karl-Anthony Towns – 42 points, 9 rebounds, 6 blocks (90.9 percent FG)

Devin Booker – 34 points, 6 assists, 0 turnovers (66.7 percent FG)

Dakari Johnson – 28 points, 17 rebounds, 4 blocks (85.7 percent FG)

Alex Poythress – 20 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists (62.5 percent FG)

Trey Lyles – 19 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists (50 percent FG)

Willie Cauley-Stein – 18 points, 11 rebounds, 2 blocks (100 percent FG)

Aaron Harrison – 16 points, 5 assists, 0 turnovers (37.5 percent FG)

Marcus Lee – 14 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists (80 percent FG)

Tyler Ulis – 11 points, 8 assists, 6 turnovers, 4 steals (100 percent FG)

Andrew Harrison – 9 points, 16 assists, 7 rebounds, 0 turnovers (50 percent FG)

Gonna break my weekend only rule today, done with work anyway (Alibaba.com FTW) and I wanted to respond/update a few things.

PKM didnt the kid on the other team score 28 non-adjusted points? care to extrapolate his stats? I know he said the basket looked as big as the ocean after the game. I think its worthy of note the tallest player on Pikeville is 6'5". Do you know if Lyles and Towns were shooting from distance?

Kentucky is gonna steamroll teams this year... This draft is sneaky good. I mean that in the context of how they will perform in the NBA... the main reason they will tell you this draft is weak, is because of strength of future classes, many of which are abnormally loaded with stars.

Can someone catch me up on why Vezenkov keeps getting mentions here?

If Ingles sticks hes redundant IMO, but ive gotta say I prefer Nedim Buza. Buza's really improved his 3 point shooting since ive been aware of him, He's got a decent sized frame with long arms, he can still add a ton of strength. I thought he was underrated last year when he was mocked in the late 50's.

Alex Poythress is great value in the 30's imo, I dont think Buza's all that much worse of a prospect.

Vezenkov, to me, seems like the type of player you can pull off the scrap heap.. (Ingles, Papanlikaou(sp?))

If only Diop could play PF..

(His arms are infact as long as Rudy's)

Smart player and he's light on his feet... Im pretty sure he'd fit with these bigs here in Utah, Ive suspected for some time that he's better than most of these domestic prospects mocked near him. He's shown much better shooting ability than you'd expect, probably ends up with a consistant mid range game and 65-70% from the line, he hits that shot that enes takes on the baseline.
