Following potential 2015 draftees

I love Phil Jackson in NYC. An absolute train wreck between what he wants to do and what the media/fans thinks he should do.

I miss the New York sports talk. Pure entertainment.

Knicks taking Kaminsky at 4 would be epic!!!! The Knick fans there would burn the joint down. Phil would get snooty and defensive. The drama would be better than any Knick game for the past decade. Please make this happen!!!!

Not even Phil Jackson could be that dumb, their fans do boo every pick regardless though.
Frank's gonna free fall to like 16 and it will be hilarious.

He's not wrong, but he sure wasn't conplaining when Jordan, Shaq, and Kobe were allowed to travel all over the court.

And the last two champions have been dynamic at moving the ball around and playing good offense. He sounds a little bitter.

I had the same reaction, But It's interesting to read the longer quote (from Hoopshype rumors). He's talking more about isolation ball vs having a team system and less about allowing a superstar to travel. He says he was brought into New York to install a system and a structure that would allow them to play team ball.

Interesting. You can't let Cousins hold your franchise hostage.

I live near sacramento and so have the pleasure of watching the kings live a bunch... DMC is even more unwatchable in person than he is on TV. I would hate playing with that guy if i was an NBA player.

You really can't build a winning team with him as your best player and strongest personality... The smart move would be to rebuild, but they've been in perpetual rebuild they just can't hit on their picks. They are moving into the new stadium and won't take a step back though... they are asking for a five year commitment from their season ticket holders at the new place. They have hamstrung themselves.

I'd love for a scenario where the Kings trade Cousins to L.A. and then the Lakers sign Rajon Rondo. Cousins, Bryant, Swaggy-P and Rondo all together for Kobe's farewell tour. . . get your popcorn ready.

"Still in talks but initially sounds like Kings get 5 pick, Vucevic, & other picks, Magic get 2nd pick & take Okafor, Lakers get Cousins & 6.
...

If Lakers move down to 6 to pick the likely target is Myles Turner according to the source. #NBADraft #Lakers
...

Spoke to a source who confirmed that the Lakers are speaking with the Kings and Magic about a 3 team deal for the 2nd pick, Cousins, etc."

Kings trade Cousins for Vucevic and move up one draft spot to do what? Take Mudiay, Porzingas, or Her Lasagna?

Yeah. That doesn't jive. I can't see the Kings giving up Cousins for less than an All Star or a top of the line pick in the draft. Lakers would have to give a lot more to get that done. And I can't stand Cousins.

Kings would be smart to trade Cousins. Get rid of the cancer and start over. But get a lot for him. You should be able too.

If Lakers get Cousins and the 6th pick. Wow, what a steal. Doubt that happens though. That can't be right.

How can we get rid of Cousins?

The last time that the jazz had the 12 pick in the draft I was at ESA for the draft party and I had a few guys I was hoping to be there at 12 but no one I was super excited about. (I remember hoping for Klay and hoping that jammer would be off the board)
My guy that I really really wanted in the draft though was Alec Burks.
I thought he would be gone around #8 though so I really was not getting my hopes up about him. (I had Burks rated in the top 5 that year)
I left ESA floating on a cloud of happiness after that draft.

The guy in this draft that could give me that same feeling is Winslow (and of course, my favorite, Russell)
If we somehow get winslow at 12 then we had the best case scenario draft imo. Stanley Johnson would be great as well.

If no one falls unexpectedly then I want: 1st, Frank 2nd, Oubre 3rd, Turner.

Don't really want anyone else.

Was able to get the night off of work to watch the draft :)

Same. :) Except I had to switch shifts with my coworker, so I work Wednesday instead of Thursday.

He said why do you need Thursday off? I said I was going to a wedding lol.

agree with your list.. but no chance on Winslow falling to 12.

From DX updated mock draft (today):

12. Utah Jazz - Myles Turner

The Jazz have built one of the most talented young rosters in the NBA with an exciting blend of length and athleticism. Outside shooting has long been a priority of this new regime, and with that in mind, drafting one of the best floor-spacing options in the draft in Myles Turner makes some sense. As good as the Rudy Gobert/Derrick Favors 4/5 combo is defensively, it would be helpful to have a real stretch-big man option to plug in at times to help the team's spacing. Frank Kaminsky was previously slated here, but his refusal to visit Utah may cause the Jazz to cool on the prospects of drafting him, and he is regardless already off the board here.

Lol and half this board said it was stupid to even talk about that.

Did the Lakers and Magic run this by the Kings? Cuz they should say NO.

DX must not realize that neither Exum or Burke visited Utah. Pretty sure Hood didn't either.

This makes no sense to me. How the hell are you going to get Cousins + 6 for 2?

They won't... If the Kings are smart (big IF) they would extract as many assets as they can from the Lakers regardless of fit... get Randle, #2 (keep #6), Jordan Clarkson, and cap space. They might turn and move Randle and Clarkson, but you build around Russell and Hezonja or Okafor and Hezonja/Mudiay.
