Following potential 2015 draftees

Towns is too much of a "potential" pick. Not a huge fan of Mudiay. Got to go with Russell.

I'd go Russ, Towns, Mudiay. Towns is starting to fill his potential and he'd be a perfect 3rd pick while he develops. He'd be Favors insurance as well.

Not sure how Towns will fare defending in space. He seems kinda slow in that regard.

I was really into Mudiay once upon a time, but the more I see the less I like. I thought he was more of freak than he actually is. That being said, I really like that he can be a plain old guard. He doesn't necessarily have to be the smallest guy on the court all the time. If he could develop as a combo guard that can play with and without the ball that would be a really good player.

I think Mudiay is the PG version of Tyreke Evans. He'll be good offensively. I don't think he's all that quick. I'm not sure why people compare him to Wall or Rose.

I think Towns is an All Star C. He can do everything that Marc Gasol does.

Russell could be very special. Passes like Rondo. Shoots like Harden. The question is how he'll do vs. NBA size and speed.

Hezonja has been getting fewer and fewer minutes with Barcelona last couple of weeks. Their injured players returned and it seems like he's lost his spot. Their coach seems like he doesn't like playing the young players. He got a DNP today in the Euroleague.

On a positive note, Pleiss had a nice game - 14:30 mins, 15 points(6/7 FG, 3/3 FT), 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 blocks... the worrying thing is... he fouled out in less than 15 minutes.

Is shutting down the opponent's PG important to winning? If so then Exum is your guy. We saw how he shut down Tony Parker and Mike Conley, and really messed with their offense. Add Gobert's rim protection and you've got x2 of your most important defensive positions in basketball covered. That lethal combination of speed, quickness and length is hard to beat.

.... and he's still only 19.

Scoring points is also important to winning.

the suggestion to trade hood and our pick to move up for hezonja was gold.

Hood and Burke really need to play well the rest of the season if only just to raise their trade value.

I'd throw in 2nd or even a future first too. This is an important moment for the Jazz. A trade like this might be doable if another team is equally happy with one of the other wings/forwards. There's enough parity in the 7 - 12 range, that we might be able to get some movement. It's similar to the trade up for Trey Burke.

Once you get to Hezonja, Johnson, Winslow, Oubre, Looney and Booker, along with some other guy who might make a leap between now and the draft (Kaminsky, Portis, Lyles, etc.), beauty might be in the eye of the beholder.

imagine moving up and getting hezonja and also moving up and getting Anderson

exum, Burke, Neto
Hayward, burks
hezonja, Anderson
favors, booker
Gobert, tomic

I like Anderson on the second team with his shooting and hezonja on the first team with his scoring. when we need a stop Anderson is brought in.

I could see a team covet bookers shooting and do the trade

Don't panic if the Jazz sit at #9 or 10 and take Oubre. He would fit right in with our defense, given his length, and has some real offensive upside. It's just a question of how aggressive he wants to be.

He'd at least be that Trevor Ariza or Nic Batum guy we don't really have right now.

If Devin Booker has enough ball skills to play some PG, that increases his value for the Jazz. UK has a bunch of other guards handling the ball, and I wonder if Booker can do more than he does. He played some PG in the past. If he can do some Brandon Roy things, it would give us a different look. Of course, that would be more bad news for Trey Burke.

Booker could rise in workouts if that ability comes out.

Nearly every top HS player is essentially their team's PG.
