Following potential 2015 draftees

I really like Johnson's build, especially in comparison to Hezonja. Johnson is going to be a capable defender pretty much immediately whereas Hezonja may never really get there.

I think Johnson will be good from the start. He also has an alpha dog mindset. I think hezonja has more upside. Should be a terrific scorer but there is some Rudy Fernandez bust potential. Fernandez wasn't a bust per se just not the player people hoped he'd be.

Will Johnson be there in the 8-12 range?
Or is he worth trading other assets to move up from where we'd be?

I think he goes 7-9. I think it'd be worth moving up depending on the cost of course. I'm not a big outbre fan and cant get myself too excited about looney and some of those other guys.

If we go with a big I like frank the tank. Good shooting big with size. Can post and pass well. He's gonna be slow on D, but does provide some rim protection. Would compliment our bigs well. He's like a really rich mans olynyk.

Call me crazy but I'd take Winslow over Johnson. He seems to me more like a team first kind of guy and should fit perfectly within our culture.

Our team's chemistry's at an all time high right now, the last thing we need is another 'alpha dog'.

Johnson certainly isn't a lock to be better than Winslow. You never know. I could also see Oubre being the best wing when it's all said and done.

It's really hard to predict. This year more so than other years, IMO.

Well.. 2015 just may be out last year we have a shot at our own pick being in the lottery. We'll just he too good from there on.

EXTREMELY early projections (these are all guys about to START their senior year of HS ball);

2. Tyus Jones (PG) - Duke
3. Emannuel Mudiay (PG) - Kentucky
4. Karl Towns Jr (C) - Kentucky (already commited)
5. Myles Turner - ? Kansas maybe?
6. Rashad Vaughn - Kentucky
7. Stanley Johnson (SF) - Kentucky or AZ
8. Justin Jackson - ?
9. Kevin Looney - ?
10. Cliff Alexander (C) - Kansas
11. Kelly Oubre - Kansas
12. Trey Lyles - Kentucky

*screw you Hack*

Hard to believe this thread is already going on two years old.

Yep, Frank would be great as the third big. Better defensively than Kanter and more versatile offensively. He may not be a better scorer, per se, but he can do the things we wanted Kanter to do - legitimately space the floor with shooting and pass.

Plus a sweet nickname... Obviously if this tomic stuff is real then Frank the Tank won't be coming here.

I would not be mad if we could trade down and take Cliff Alexander in the late teens. He's a bit undersized, but he's a beast on the boards and always seems to play hard. I also wouldn't mind doing the same and taking Montrezl Harrel in the late teens. Both could be really solid back up bigs imo.

i like the fact that Stan is already trying to take over games and be the man as a true freshamn. He's got a killer instinct and is an all around bad ***.

Not a fan of Cliff's... we could just sign the finished version of him in Thomas Robinson.

Have really liked Harrel... every time I watch him I think I would not want to play against that guy. He has a limited upside, but has a very low floor. Reminds me of Faried when he actually used to try.

Cliff is a lot younger than Robinson and has a much higher ceiling. He would be a steal in the late teens early 20's.

OK Jazzfanz... time for a new big board. Post yours, too... Lets make it 12 deep since it looks like it's possible we finish at the 12 spot...

Here's mine:
1. Okafor
2. Russell
3. Towns
4. Mudiay
5. Johnson
6. Hezonja
7. Winslow
8. Porzingis
9. Looney
10. Oubre
11. Booker
12. WCS(he's so low only because we already have Gobert, who has a similar skillset)

The first 4 is very muddy for me and by draftday it's very possible it's going to change. Same goes for last 3.

Wait, how can you like Harrell and not like Alexander? Harrell is much more comparable to Robinson than Alexander is.

5. WCS
6. Hezjona
