Talent is talent. Whoever they take at 10 (or wherever they trade up to) will be a steal and a great value. I have full confidence that DL will get a great player for the Jazz in this draft. Especially with Quin Snyder's input.

It's really hard to say how he's doing it too.

Gobert was an extremely raw pick. A Euro with no offensive skill to speak of but is extremely long and athletic. Young & HUGE upside. Then the Hood pick, not very athletic but is crafty and decent shooter. Older by draft standard, but more experienced. Limited upside.

Totally opposite rationale between those 2 picks.

If Kaminsky's 3 point shooting is legit, he could very well be the steal of the draft.

Trying to predict college bigs 3 point shot is risky, many bust if they don't have it. Here are some PFs/centers over 35% their year in college

Reliable NBA 3pt range (35% + )?

Derrick Williams - nope
Anthony Bennett - nope
Kelly Olynyk - nope
Markieff Morris - nope
Chris Singleton - nope
Patrick Patterson - yes
Michael Beasley - nope
Kevin Love - yes
Ryan Anderson - yes

Some of the "no's" may eventually turn into reliable 3 point shooters but its a crap shoot. With Kaminsky's low release, I'd say at best, he only has a 50/50 chance.

Olynyk averaged 33% from 3's over his 3 years of college?

In the NBA he isn't too shabby with 35% last year, 34% this year, averaging out at 34.4% over the 2 years. so far.

Didn't he just carry over the same college performance? (even improving a little?)
