Following potential 2015 draftees

Just when I thought the Okafor-Derrick Coleman comparison was the worst thing I've ever seen, I saw that post that said Bilas or somebody said Winslow was Harden with defense. Both of those are complete crap.

Okafor seems to have the same problem Al does, in that they're so skilled, that they just don't get fouled. Good, but frustrating.

Yes, maybe no one is a star per se, but many of them have a higher ceiling than Trey and have not had the off court issues. So I think a better question is who was picked after Trey that is going to be better than Trey? I understand they are still young, but Trey is just coming up short, while others are showing more potential. My main point is that I have serious doubts about the Jazz's ability to evaluate draftees.

Shroeder is better right now.

Not sure if this has been talked about, but apparently Okafor beat Kanter a few years ago, FWIW.

I'd take anything shown against Kanter's defense with a huge bucket of salt. But those are not the main questions about Okafor, it's obvious his offensive game is very good and polished. For me more interesting question is - how good(or at least average) he can be on the defensive end?

For a guy as big and seemingly physical as Okafor, why does he not get to the FT line? That's always a big concern to me.

Same reason Al Jefferson doesn't go to the FT line much - he's too good and the defense is nowhere near him when he gets his shots off. :D This comparison makes more and more sense to me with every game I watch of him.

I think I said this yesterday, but Chris McColough is starting to look like he has the goods to me. Nice combination of skill, feel and athleticism in a 6'10" 220-lb PF. He just needs to get stronger and gain maybe 10 pounds over the next year or two. He's got some fast-twitch athleticism that enables him to make more nuanced moves and speed bursts.

Johnson/baker is who I am hoping for next year.

trade Burke for what ever we can get for him.

exum, baker, (Neto?)
Hayward, burks
Johnson, hood
Monroe, booker
favors, Gobert

Monroe is not an upgrade on defense from kanter but a lot better passer. personally I would like to see a trade for Burke that brings in a stretch 4 of some kind.

Portis gonna be a true stretch 4. Sweet, sweet stroke, can pass and handle well for a big, and will be unable to defend anyone. Good bench piece.
