Following potential 2017 draftees...

Why would you do that trade to begin with?

If you think Favors isn't going to re-sigh, why would you think both Hood and Exum will?

If we trade Favors, we are left with one year of Joe Johnson left at a power forward, so why would I do it? To try to get the golden goose at power forward in this draft. Unless we want to roll out some insanely raw, unheralded rookie in 2018-19.

Hood and Exum are RFA and Favors isnt....

Regarding Favors, it's not really a question of whether he wants to stay with the Jazz, but rather whether the Jazz can pay him without going too far into the luxury tax.

Any chance of keeping everybody(Favors/Hood/Exum) on the team past 2018 disappeared once we were unable to renegotiate and extend either Hill or Favors.

Here's a Catchall Big Board...actually, it's a Mock.

  1. Markelle Fultz — Most complete PG prospect since Kyrie Irving, who happens to be both bigger and better than Irving coming out of Duke.
  2. Josh Jackson — Elite 2-way wing.
  3. DeAaron Fox — No one is going to be able to stay in front of this guy. John Wall Part 2.
  4. Lonzo Ball — What Ricky Rubio would look like if he had a funky jump shot that goes in more often.
  5. Jayson Tatum — I’m not convinced he’ll be a star, but he’ll be good.
  6. Jonathan Issac — Needs to become elite at something, preferably shooting. A better handle would help him use his length to his advantage.
  7. Lauri Markkanen — A special shooter who can survive on defense and rebound a little.
  8. Zach Collins — You hope he develops into the next Pau Gasol. Will need to gain some weight and strength regardless of whether he’s a 4 or 5.
  9. Frank Ntilikina — Solid player. Could end up being better than Lonzo Ball.
  10. Dennis Smith Jr. — If he were a couple inches bigger, he’d go higher. Still has All Star potential in a Kyle Lowry kinda way. Could slip due to teams having different needs.
  11. Malik Monk — If he can’t defend anybody due to his lack of size, strength and length, he’s a role player like Lou Williams. If he can tighten his handle and add shiftiness he’s a different player and could be a versatile combo-guard.
  12. Jarrett Allen — He’ll be an effective defensive center with some upside. You hope he becomes the next DeAndre Jordan.
  13. Ike Anigbogu — A raw, beefy paint defender and rebounder.
  14. Justin Patton — Best all-around center prospect on the board.
  15. Bam Adebayo — Size, quickness, explosive first and second jump. Will need to develop his game as a PF.
  16. Justin Jackson — He’s not spectacular, but he’ll score and defend from the wing. Every team needs that.
  17. OG Anunoby — Prototypical 3/D wing. Needs more handle, shift and in-between game. Will need most of the season to recover from the ACL.
  18. Harry Giles — If he would just show flashes of what he once was… Could rise in workouts if he shows mobility and explosion.
  19. Ivan Rabb — He does everything fairly well, just doesn’t blow you away with anything. A below-the-rim player who isn’t especially quick or explosive.
  20. Donovan Mitchell — Will do what Avery Bradley does, plus finish above the rim. Solid player.
  21. TJ Leaf — Versatile player capable of doing dirty work and scoring with effort and IQ.
  22. Luke Kennard — Lack of length and quickness detract from an otherwise excellent shooter and playmaker.
  23. John Collins — PF with impressive shooting touch from multiple angles.
  24. Rodions Kurucs — Young, versatile prospect. Potential to draft and stash. Could be the next Saric.
  25. Hamidou Diallo — Lets assume he can actually play.
  26. Jonathan Jeanne — Because you can’t teach long.
  27. Isaiah Hartenstein — Physically strong and athletic enough to have an impact. Shooting potential gives him upside.
  28. DJ Wilson — Long, fluid and versatile. Needs to put in work on his body for his game to develop.
  29. Caleb Swanigan — Has a pretty complete game—shoots, rebounds, defends, passes and knows how to makes high-percentage plays. Underrated.
  30. Tyler Lydon — He can really shoot the 3-ball and won’t get killed on defense or on the boards.
  31. Frank Jackson — Kid can score in a number of ways. Good size and explosion for a combo guard.

Edit: I think Mitchell is too low. He could be really good.

I would be very happy if we got the players draftexpress is mocking to us right now. Jeanne, DJ Wilson, Jordan Bell, Sindarius Thornwell. That's a good haul. Little bit repetitive with bigs but I like Jeanne, Wilson and Bell so I'd be okay with it.

I'll admit I have see little of wilson.... what is there to like?

6'11" PF who is more fluid and versatile than Lyles. Can shoot, rebound, defend, handle, pass, etc. Decent IQ. He's a good, not great athlete, but if he works on his body he could be a really good complement to our front court.

Wilson highlights...

Remember he's 6'10.5" with a 9'1.5" standing reach. He's the same size as Jonathan Issac from Florida State, actually has slightly better length. Video says he's a junior, but he was a sophomore.

He's a 37% 3-pt shooter and 83% FT shooter.

Measurements and athleticism off ball. He is one of those players people will fall in love with because he looks the part, but I'm not sold on him as a player. Could be wrong though.
