Following Potential 2018 Draftees

Tony Jones has been hinting at Jerome Robinson and Jazz. I think he even suggested in the first round...which suprised me cause he is listed as undrafted in the mock i looked at.

I think he's the closest thing we'll get to Jamal Murray in this draft. He really stands out for a guy we might get at #21. He should be getting much more buzz, but I guess because he's a junior and went to Boston College he's a bit below the radar. He's still just 21. He had a much better season than Lonnie Walker. BTW, Tony Jones knows his stuff.

Yes, I trust Tony's opinion on college prospects and i believe he follows the acc and big east closely. And he is well connected with the jazz.

Its not Tony i puzzle about....its that i have never seen this Jerome kid on a draft board and what i read suggested he is not a great defender. I think he is a scorer, atleast he can make the shots that Royce Oneal gets on the perimeter. He doesnt attack the rim like Royce.

I'm now finding myself wanting Jerome Robinson in this draft and hoping he measures out over 6'6". The guy is a scoring machine: 20.7 ppg on 53/41/83 percentages in the ACC. He can also play on the ball a bit and had a decent steal rate as a sophomore. I think he can do it on the big stage.

Mitchell and Robinson would give us a pair of splash brothers who can create in isolation as needed.

Exactly. This kid has some fire too! He plays the game with passion, and can create his own shot.
His drives to the hoop look fluid, and crafty. We need a scoring punch off the bench. A shooter who can also pass, and play within our system.

He feels like he has Jazz DNA. Like when Dennis asked Ingles about Royce and Joe said "hes one of us". I get the feeling they'd say the same about Jerome.

Several players at #21 that will improve our squad! Robinson is definitely one imo.

Pretty sure ive been hyping Jerome Robinson for 2 szns now as the best player from BC since Jared Dudley. He was a 1 man wrecking crew this szn and would be a prime candidate for NPOY and a 1st rd pick in 2019, If Utah took him in the 20's id be unsuprised, he's a match. His mid range game is razor-sharp would be nice complement to Mitchells rack attacks.

Keep an eye on what Givony and Schmitz are sharing from those pre-combine workouts in Chicago. Last year, they jumped Mitchell from late first to late lottery based on those workouts and the interviews they are doing with the prospects. On Woj's podcast yesterday they said "We couldn't imagine how he wouldn't impress NBA GMs after what we saw" ... so yeah... keep an eye on risers after this weekend...

Carter averaged 20.1 PTS, 13.4 REBS, 3.0 AST and 3.0 BLK per 40.
Tony Bradley averaged 19.5 PTS, 14.1 REBS, 1.7 AST and 1.6 BLK per 40.

KBD with an enormous wingspan... you can see it on video but measurement confirmation. I may be fully on the KBD bus... He is now one of the 45 guys I have in my top 15.

Interesting stuff... Trae is tiny.

Donte came in a little lower than I would have liked.

Zhaire was smaller than I thought too.

Shai also measured really well. Almost 7' wingspan. I'll bet he sneaks into that 10/11 spot.

I noticed that. Very intriguing.

Wendell Carter is a sleeper I'm keeping an eye on. He's got a chance to be a star. Physically, he reminds me of Favors but he might have the range to spread the floor. Very interesting prospect. Him and Jaren Jackson.

There has to be some mistakes in those listing.

One is obvious, they mixed up Jevon and Wendell Carter's standing reaches.

But Landry Shamet only have a 6'7 wingspan? That doesnt seem possible.

Afernee Simons probably did the best out of anyone as his new measurement was a good deal better than what he had last year.

I was hoping Jacob Evans had a better measurment than he did (about 6'6 in shoes with a 6'9 wingspan), but that's not terrible. He just doesnt have ideal size for a 3.

Anfernee SImons measured at 6'3 1/4" but also had 6'9 1/4 " wingspan which is pretty good.
