How is Troy Brown’s defense?
Above average for his age, but not elite. Quick guards can get by him. He can trail guys around picks and impact them. He can get in a wide stance and use his length to contain wings. Has potential though.
How is Troy Brown’s defense?
You need to lay off the helium. Ur gassing this kid up well beyond reason. There was once a vegas based poster here named vermin and we used to talk about Brown a handfull of years ago, i used to say he looked to have lottery talent, he was on the recruiting radar as a 5star player from a young age. He really flashed terrific vision /passing, beyond his years, in his mid teens. He projects as a jack of all trades, comparing him to players who are successful top scoring options in the nba is a gross mischaracterization.
I see a path for Troy Brown to become comparable to Hayward or Jimmy Butler. That's a valuable player, a top 25 player potentially, but he has to shoot better and work on his lower body athleticism (core strength and explosion). It'll take a few solid years of development.
His tools are as good as Hayward's and Butlers. He needs to develop them.
He's closer to Spencer Dinwiddie than those guys.
Several got him lasting to 21 tho too.All this Troy brown love is probably moot. Several mocks have him going before 21.

Oof. I just watched a bunch of Grayson Allen and I hate to say this but I'm on the GA train. I feel dirty.
He plays hard and with an edge. He's a fourth year player and overlooked. This is dumb, but kind of reminds me of Draymond in that respect. He looks like a choir boy. It's kind of like if John Stockton was a **** head. His shot is sound, he has range. I love his middle game and think he could be effective at all three levels. Plays smart (outside of being a dumb ***). He's very athletic. I think his stock is depressed because of his dumb **** he pulled, but JJ Redick was a turd at Duke too and he grew up. The more I think about it, the more I think this might be my guy. Why? Donte has just as good of numbers... is younger and people actually like him. Don’t do this to yourself... go watch the temper tantrum and if you haven’t changed your mind punch yourself in the groin... repeat until you are off the train.
Not bad... I think hawks would take Brown over KBD.
I wonder how Denver will trade 14 with faried for space... I don’t know that any teams currently have enough space... wonder if they agree and then execute in the new cap year when space opens up... draft night it won’t work imo.

Ugh I feel like one of those MAGA pukes just saying it.
Dinwiddie 's legit and he can shoot. His ast/to ratio was awesome for the nets i was always a big supporter of his in these threads. He was one of the most improved players in the league.Eww. I thought you might say something like Rashad Vaughn...
Hawks have a GM and front office that are big into analytics. I think that KBD could catch their interest in that respect. Also, a Bamba/John Collins/KBD front court could be nasty. At least in theory. Bamba should be a great rim protector but might have some issues in PnR and when he has to switch. Collins is highly efficient offensively around the rim and from mid range but he can't really stretch the floor. KBD will cover the areas where those two guys have some weaknesses, he can switch on PnR and he can stretch the floor and knock down 3's.
I think that Dallas might do that deal with Denver. Dallas can absorb Faried's contract. They could really use that lottery pick. Another possibility is that Denver trades the 14th pick and Faried for a role player or two instead of cap relief.
You feel the way he plays.Oof. I just watched a bunch of Grayson Allen and I hate to say this but I'm on the GA train. I feel dirty.
Did you just? Did you? You put Stockton’s name in post about GA.... I’m super sad rn.
If by edge you mean he gets overly emotional then yes... you do know that Dray could be Dray without going over the top complaining and screaming... honestly that edge is his biggest flaw. Boogie plays with “edge” too.
