Why not Brad Jones and make Alex Jensen his number 1 assistant?
This, plus the system and effort. If it consistently looks like a bunch of disinterested guys watching real teams destroy them then Ty will have to go... I hope.Deferent answers for different people. Some would be thrileld with a 2-39 record not me.
For me it is not the record but how Ty plays the team. If it is a ton of time for Lucas, Williams, Jefferson, Biedrins and Harris while Burke, Hayward, Kanter...all sit then he has to go.

You hire Jerry as the interim coach, and you let him coach as long as he wants to. It's pretty simple.
I've rarely defended Corbin. All I can add is objective observation and fair reporting of facts. Also, I can't help that my opinion track record is nearly flawless (now to include my early call for Parker>Wiggins that every national reporter is now on board with).

I don't agree with most of your points. It's overly negative and not really true.Who do you bring in? And before you answer, remember, that this Jazz team, since Miller died, you could argue this team hasn't been run well. For example:
Sloan was run out of town for Deron(no he wasn't
Then Deron was tradedA deal we got the better end of.
You let Horny goI agree this was a mistake
You let Al and Millsap walk for nothingSo what. It needed to be done
You haven't done anything to strengthen the team, just weaken it. They have added a bunch of young talent and draft picks that is far from nothing
You have no PGTrey looked pretty damn good in his 1st game
You have no benchit takes time
Your best player is a FA next summer. restricted FA is far different than just a FA
What coach is going to come in a coach this team? Or better yet, what GOOD coach is going to take that on? You do realize, that there is a good chance that if you take over this team, you won't win any more games than Ty? It might not be as ugly, but a loss is a loss. If you are Karl, or SVG, or Lionel, why do you take on this mess now? No matter what you do, you will probably lose, and when you do, morons on message boards and sitting in the stands will boo you, and there will be a chance that you are fired at the end of the season. not a chance that a new coach doesn't get as much time as Corbin has had. They would be coming to a team that is loyal to a fault, And a team with lots of money and draft picks coming up to improve the team.
Why not enjoy your time off, and then take over this team in June, when you have the #1 pick, a boatload of cash for FA's and players that you can get to rally around you, because you didn't lose 50 games with them the previous season? Not a bad point. But if Ty gets fired the job would not likely still be available come June.
You can't fire Ty for a laundry list of reasons, one of which, is who do you bring in to coach? Your only realistic options are just as bad as Ty (and I DO put Sloan in the bad idea category).

You always defend him. Nice spin.

I agree with your disagreement.
I made a rebuttal post, but deleted because I believe green's main point was that a coach has NO motivation to come in now, whereas in June, he'd see the Jazz having added up to three picks, perhaps 1-2 FA's and know where the Jazz stood in regards to Hawyard. And, frankly, I think Lindsey is committed to the tank. There is simply no reason to fire Corbin. The worse he is, the better off the Jazz are for the draft. Only reason to make a change is if Corbin lost complete control and players were publicly criticizing. And no, I don;t consider Gobert's tweet of that nature - at least not yet.
Really the only person on here who 'defends' Corbin is Franklin.
Get it, man. Al Jeff was Corbins crutch, "lifeline" as Leg said. He also had Paul Millie. He's had Dev Harris, Mo Williams. STACKED teams. Teams that a seasoned coach could've taken to at least an 8 seed.
What does he do well? Serious question.franklin puts Corbin into perspective, but I haven't seen him call for Corbin's contract to be extended.
By contrast, I see a lot of people exaggerate Corbin's faults and ignore things he does well.
But it's for sport half of the time, so you could argue it doesn't count.
