What's new

For stoked GAME THREAD!!

Favors looks to be playing with a lot more passion than I've seen before. I think he's going to have a very solid year.

I used to wonder how much coaching mattered in the NBA. I don't anymore.

Did anyone see big baby Davis clothes line the Jazz player. It pisses me off the jazz don't react when one of their players are attacked. I'm not saying throw a punch, but at least come to the defense of your own guys when they take cheap shot after cheap shot.

Hayward gets a wet willy nothing. Players get tackled, where are the enforcers?

Burke shot over 50% again

Favors and Gobert with double doubles

Gobert with 20 boards in 22 mins.

Loved the hustle and passing.

4/5 starters shot 50% or higher

Very solid first game for Hood

Booker shooting 3's? Nice!!!

Go Jazz!!!

It's really hard to stay measured right now given how the Jazz are playing. I recall that we went 8-0 in the preseason recently and the season didn't turn out so well. That said, they have been really fun to watch! Gobert is my absolute favorite.

He didn't throw down a wrestling move or anything. He was trying to defend Exum and Exum accelerated into Big Baby's arm with his neck. No need to overreact to normal game contact.

To be honest, I don't think Davis really "clothes lined" him. It was a hard foul, but more because Rodney ran into Davis' fat ***. Any foul by that semi-truck is going to look bad.

I wanna say not as much. I've had him on my fantasy team a couple of times-- he has some big-rebound nights, and decent mid-range jumper distance, but I've never seen him really rack up the assists.

With that said: i didn't watch this game, so if someone could make a highlight package of Booker's point-forward play, I'd rep the **** out of you.

The stream of the game I watched is re-airing the game with the tip off starting right now if you have the inclination to watch it.

I agree about how fun this team has been to watch. I'm seeing a lot for Quin to work with and players that are playing harder, smarter and more unselfishly than in the past couple years.

I'm starting to think the Jazz are going to surprise the NBA this year. Nothing crazy but we may have an outside shot of an 8th seed if a few other teams under-perform.

I say 38 wins.

Yeah it looked worse live. On the replay it just looked like Davis' slow *** wasn't able to get out of the way fast enough

He was just selling his pump fake hard after he hit the 2's 3's and driving the lane and dishing. He made a couple of pretty nice passes, and even tried to thrown an oop to Gobert that was a little wild, but still cool.

Guys, guys.

Compare the Clippers starter-minutes to ours.

Holy ****, Quin Snyder.

The Clippers starters where coasting the 1st half though (besides Griffin), then in the 3rd quarter they really upped the intensity and outplayed us.

One change that I really like is that when a big (gobert, kanter, Favors, booker) gets a defensive rebound they are looking to pass the ball quickly to whoever is there that can handle the ball.

They are not standing there waiting for the point guard to come up next to them for the ****ing hand-off pass.

So refreshing to see them looking for fast break starting outlet passes

this shows how awful corbin was. evans over gobert.... still ****ing pissed at him. he was the worst.... this team is so fun to watch :D

Where to start...
While the clips were playing soft in the first half, the Jazz looked excellent in running the oh-fense. Gobert has "grown into his legs" in this sophomore season. I'm excited to see his continued growth. Because of Exum's age and limited experience, i'm hopeful and optimistic that he will do the same. The 'beating' he took from Clips was a good wake up for him. But it will take some time. Just like Gobert. I will say that Exum is slowest moving fast player ever. (He will get the idea after living the NBA, but right now, he is just a slow movin dude.) Hood is the real deal. All the comments about him being smooth are so true. Burke is the real deal.

I think the Jazz will get worked over by the "real clippers" in regular season, but this sort of effort and precision will allow them to essentially win every game they should by beating average and below teams. The Jazz will end up around 40wins - Booker it.

Need to move on.

No. Corbin sucks. He held the entire franchise back a year and should be called out on that now and in years to come. I think we're all grateful the fact changes were made, but that doesn't absolve just how #$%^&* of a coach Corbin was.

And Burks will thrive in a system like this. Hood was getting open lanes for driving and imagine what Burks will do with that...
