What's new

For those of you BYU pukes cheering Jimmer...

The other Jimmer thread. Nobody cares about your Mormon/Athiest debate.

I didn't get into any Mormon debate in a jimmer thread. I made fun of byu coeds in the other jimmer thread. Moran.

The first page of this thread sucks so bad that I refuse to read any further -- but I will say this: I still hate Jimmer, but that wigga gots skillz.

Also, DOWN WITH MORMONZ!!1

Don't agree with this at all. You can be a Jazz fan and still cheer on another player. You still want the Jazz to win, but
you like someone with local ties. There is zero harm in that, and frankly it made that stinker of a game more exciting.

Oh dear, this was one of the things putting me off supporting the Jazz....

Suppose I'd better avoid all this nonsense and move on.

I'm a CU Buffs fan and was cheering for Jimmer, he had a great (Tebow-style) run last year... does that make me a "foundation-less Mormon" as well?

But, I cheered MORE when Burks did that put back dunk and Jimmer air-balled the final shot. Jimmer getting blocked by Millsap was enjoyable as well.

The OP sounds like a real bitter *******.

Big props to the BYU fanbase that was packing the Marriott Center(22,000 +) last night and causing absolute havoc in BYU's game against Saint Marys even when their team was playing like crap and down 20 + in the second half, and simultaneously causing aneurisms for fellow Jazz fans at Energy Solutions. I love you all.

I didn't read a single post, but want to say that we are all fanz of the Jazz and should all just get along and respect one another.

Winner, the OP is a moran, there I said it.

As a Ute fan, I can honestly say that I have NEVER cheered any of the following when they've faced the Jazz: Tom Chambers, KVH, Andre Milller, Bogut, Doleac, or any other Ute. I've always rooted for those guys to have successful NBA careers, but when it comes to games against Utah, I hope the Jazz kick their asses each and every time they face off.

Their are fans out there that believe that since they payed for the ticket, they can act however they want. While that might be technically correct, I would never subscribe to that theory because I think anybody who acts like that is pretty much a jackass.

In short: If you consider yourself and honest-to-goodness Jazz fan, and you were at the ESA last night cheering Jimmer, than you my friend are a douchebag.

Sorry, but you're either Jazz fans or you're not...

And any fan in that building cheering when Jimmer does something good that is not a Sacramento Kings fan is NOT a true Jazz fan in my eyes...

I hate this states fans... Half of them are clueless and the other half are worse...

And yes, it is due to the LDS culture... A baseless cult, with a rocky foundation at best...

There I said it...

Deal with it!

Okay I broke down and read this thread. I admit I am not LDS, I am a non-denominational Christian, however. Having said that, I have business partners and friends that are LDS. I admit that I don't share the same spiritual beliefs, I even believe some of what they believe is downright kooky. They are, however, some of the most respected people I know. Some of the most 'deserving' of eternal life.

I have not felt compelled by God to attempt to have them denounce their religion, but if I did, I'm quite certain God wouldn't direct me to do so by attacking their spiritual belief system on an internet sports message board. I would urge you, OP, to inquire with your pastor as to whether your actions here are in line with your doctrine, whatever it may be.

The only problem is you're taking the troll seriously, thereby enabling it. Otherwise nice post.
