Free Agency 2012 Thread

Bucks offered Ilyasova $40M for 5 years. Ersan will look for other offers. Btw, I learned that the said offer from a Euro-Team is likely an agent trick.

Do you think he can get more then this? I wonder if the Mavericks will throw money his way. They are getting desperate.

He, actually his potential, deserves a little bit more, especially if you consider the contracts some players are getting.

Can he get? I think it depends on Howard's situation. When the Howard thing is over, or at least when some teams decide not to pursue Howard anymore, I think Ersan can get a four year $36M-$40M deal.

Lang Greene: Top guys on free agent market have deals in hand. Atention will now shift to next tier: Chris Kaman, Ray Felton, OJ Mayo, Lou Williams, etc. about 11 minutes ago

None of these guys gets me uber-excited. I love Lou Williams, but I'm against paying point guards the max contract. Unless, of course, your team is willing to pay the luxury tax.

Looks like the Miami Heat will be going hard for Rashard Lewis.

I swear with Lebron Driving and all these three point shooters the Miami Heat look unstoppable.

Bucks have ratched up the offer for illyasova to 5/45

AK47 is leaning towards staying in Russia.

Courtney Lee is looking at the Celtics.

And a bunch of teams are looking at ol' man Camby.

Really surprised not seeing any interest in Anthony Randolph around the league. Dude looked like he was coming on pretty well buried behind KL.

Bucks is the worst destination for Ersan yet he decided to stay. I don't know what the hell he's thinking. Now I hope at least they trade Jennings and find a pure pg(like it's easy to find one). Jennings+Monta Ellis=Bad for Ilyasova.

As for AK47, he's best of himself when he is in Europe, so I think it's good for him.

Mike Wells: The Pacers are matching Portland's 4-year, $58 million offer to Roy Hibbert, according to a source. If the source is right, I think it's the right move by the Pacers. If they keep Hibbert and manage to bring in Mayo, they'll be in as good of shape as they can be in while going up against a couple of super teams.

Boris Diaw will re-sign with the Spurs. It's a two-year, $9m with about $200K in incentives and a player option for the second year.

In breaking news, Tim Duncan and the Spurs are putting on the finishing touches on an agreement for a 3-year contract. Shocking! In other news, the Wizards are strongly considering using the amnesty clause on Andray Blatche if they can't trade him. In other words, they will use the amnesty clause on him.

I wonder how much money Timmy is re-signing for? I wouldn't be surprised if it was similar to the Steve Nash deal.

Rashard Lewis to the Heat for the vet's minimum of $1.35m

They probably have more shooting than any team in the league now. We already saw what their shooters could do in the playoffs, then they add Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis?

Heat three-peat. It's happening.
