Free agent frenzy!

I understand all the AK hate, but if he was only making 7-9 million a year the past 6 years, wouldn't you be begging to have him comeback?
How much he was paid doesn't change the fact that he mailed it in more than half the time. And how much he was paid doesn't affect my belief that that wouldn't be a very good influence on young players.

If the latter happens, throw the kitchen sink at Marc Gasol Yes
If that doesn't happen or doesn't work, go after Joel Przybilla Yes
Maybe Shane Battier No
Jarron Collins No

Gasol is a legit Center. The Jazz don't have anything like that on their roster. If that means trading or amnestying Jefferson then do it. Gasol is worth it. Anyone who says that Gasol is not better than Jefferson is a Jazz Homer and doesn't watch any other basketball then the Jazz.

I love Prizbilla for one main reason, he and I have a similar enemy, Carlos Boozer. Anyone that feels that way belongs on this roster.

I agree with you. In a perfect world the Jazz would trade away Jefferson and amnesty Okur or vice versa, get a decent expering contract type wing player and add AK to the roster. A four man rotation of (in order) Favors, AK, Milsap and Kanter is enough to make it night in and night out in this league. Ideally I would like to see Gasol on the Jazz.

Wow. I'm sure glad you're not the GM.

The problem I have with Gasol is that we will have to through a ton a money at him so that the Grizz don't match and I think its fair to say we are all sick of bad contracts, especially with the new CBA.

True centers are the hardest thing to find in the NBA right now. I am thinking if you could offer him 12 to 13 million a year that you might just get him. That to me is not a bad contract to have even under the new CBA.

The Jazz need a guard who can actually play like a guard. Seriously. They have to be looking to improve their backcourt. They practically don't have one. Harris isn't super durable and plays like a combo. Price is lucky to be in the league. Earl Watson is a so-so back-up.

Where's the list of current FAs ?

I could also see the Jazz make a trade during the year using Raja's or Memo's expiring deal that brings back a PG.

I would love for the jazz to get rid of bell and use every cent they have to go after Aaron Brooks. Burks/Hayward drive to the basket, dish it out to Brooks for the three.

And I really hate to say it but I don't think Watson will sign with Utah. Knicks, spurs, Miami, Chicago might come asking for his services offering the same money. :(

I don't have a list but Shannon Brown is a FA and he could be the next Price only he really can shoot. Bonus!

Marc Gasol isn't that great.

Al outplayed Gasol 2 out of the 3 games last year. Gasol is good but certainly not hands-down better than Jefferson. He's gonna get a lot of money too. Kind of surprised nobody is after DeAndre Jordan, but since we got Kanter he might not make a lot of sense either. Anyways Jordan has the tools I like in a 5.
