someone better **** with Houston
If the Jazz are going to go after Parsons the time is NOW.
Parsons feels like the perfect fit here in Utah with Snyder. Hoping Melo/Bosh goes there

And we could clear up enough cap space to make Parsons an offer while still maintaining the rights to Hayward (in case Houston matches). If the Rockets don't match, Jazz rescind the QO, making Hayward an UFA.
@Tjonessltrib
So I know the jazz have recently hosted a free agent. Problem is, I haven't been able to find out who it is.....
Why does everyone capitalize "MAX"?
Agree. Save for Hayward and perhaps Tomic, the Jazz have their main rotation set. There are teams which may need to clear space to acquire FA's, but that depends on LBJ and 'Melo making their decisions. Jazz can involve themselves directly, or get involved as a third team. It's unlikely we'd want Lin or Jack, but another team might and we could take on the contract of someone else.The Jazz could use a dedicated defender at the 3/4 spot, unless that's supposed to be Evans or something. Separately, I think the Jazz are holding out in free agency because a) they need to see what Hayward's offer will be, and b) I think they'd like to rent out their cap space for an asset or two like they did last year....notwithstanding the fact that there are several other teams with cap space this year.
When teams chase after FAs, they make short-sighted decisions. See Warriors, Golden State last year, who thought they could get Dwight Howard and gave up 2 first-round picks to swing and miss while overpaying Andre Iguodala.
Winner!!!!
Agree with this 100%. If the Jazz have any interest in him at all, today is the day to really start pressing the issue, culminating with an offer sheet on July 10th. Force the Rockets to get their ducks in a row in a real hurry if they want to trade Lin, sign Bosh and then match Parsons and go over the cap. Not saying that they can't do it. . . but the time sensitivity of dealing with other free agency issues would certainly make it more difficult.To emphasize the timeliness. Waiting around in the bushes playing ninja isn't how it's going to get done. Most likely.
Why the **** would the Jazz just toss out the asset of agency rights to a desired commodity?
ThisI like Alec Burks more then Gordon Hayward. I would rather sign Parsons and keep Alec at the 2.
Keep Trey for another 2-3 years running the point.
Let Exum be the combo guard off the bench until he unseats Trey.

Chandler Parsons has zero interest in Utah
