What's new

Friday Jazz VS Blazers 7pm MT

Awesome things about the Jazz right now:

1. Gobert is something special that very few teams will ever have.
2. If you don't like Trevor booker, you're doing it wrong
3. Favors is a very good power forward
4. Hayward is awesome

Now make free throws.

I think it's been since the AK (in his prime) days that I've actually been excited for the other team to have the ball because I can't wait to see what amazing things our defense might do.

Agree. And it's not just Gobert. Booker is getting deflections, Hayward is getting steals, Ingles and Burke are contributing. And, IINM, wasn't it Exum who slowed the player down and made him adjust his shot just enough so Gobert could get that block from behind? It was a fun game to watch (well, except when the Jazz went to the F/T line).

Burke is thriving off the bench.

Gobert only played 24 minutes. How long before he demands a trade?

He also got real upset when Hayward didn't lob it to him on the fast break. Clearly Gobert is not the focal point of our offense, and he is going to demand a trade. Now is the time for... some 17 year old kid we haven't heard of yet!

But Dat running hook, Doe!

Gobert is such a fast learner. He got burned biting on the pump fakes, came out, had a chat with the coaches and didn't fall for those the rest of the game.

Dude might end up being the leader this team needs too. I actually loved that exchange and his fire. Dudes not afraid to speak his mind. This team needs that.

I'll work on my sense of humor, so that others know when I'm being sarcastic.

On another note, without me looking through every single page of this thread. Did anyone else notice when they were talking about Stockton Breaking the Steals record on this day. That on the screen it said 'Seals' instead of 'Steals'. Call me dry, but the visual of "Greatest seals leader" made me chuckle.

I'm with you. I just love watching basketball excellence. I enjoy superb defense as much as any part of the game, and I enjoy a beautifully run offense quite a bit more than one-on-one hero ball. Absolutely loved watching the Spurs last year in the finals, and enjoyed the plays in this game where we made the right pass, like with Hayward to Favors and Trey to Favors. The shot is just a bonus by the time the play materializes. Don't get me wrong; I love watching individual domination but paradoxically when it's within a team system.
