Game 1: Utah Jazz @ Los Angeles Lakers, 8:30 p.m MT..Game Thread

Devin Ebanks.. If he goes off.. Then he must have went balls to the wall over this offseason. He was like Darius Miles in high school. No jumper outside 20 feet, and was all athleticism. If he goes off on us in only his second Nba season... Then CJ Miles really needs to be chin checked. CJ came into the league known as a good jump shooter.
 
the bench play will be a question mark for both teams, what will the jazz get out of guys like howard and tinsley.

lakers don't have the scoring punch odom provided off the bench anymore. they do have troy murphy who was a pain in the butt for the jazz in the past.
 
Win or lose, if this Lake squad goes pushing for a win tonight and has to fight... They will go into the game tomorrow trying to push a marginal lead early and be exhausted by the 2nd half. It's like boxing in a way.
 
Lakers performance tonight would only solidify the idea of bringing Sap off the bench (for this game). He can check Peace better than anyone else we have on the 2nd unit. Assuming Peace still comes off the bench.
 
Im hoping for tomorrow's starters to be:

Harris
Hayward
Millsap
Favors
Jefferson

Hayward proved that he could guard Kobe, Sap can guard MWP (I don't think hell come off the bench many more times this season), Favors can frustrate Gasol, and AlJeff should be able to lead the game in points. Our bench also completely ****s over theirs.

yeah you are right, i ment 2nd. But if we can't beat Lakers in this game, hella exhausted team and without Bynum, then lets better tank the season
 
Honestly, how intimidating is a team that starts Kobe/Pau/Fisher/McRoberts/Ebanks? And the only guy coming off the bench is the artist formerly known as Ron Artest and Steve Blake. There is no way this Jazz team should be intimidated at all. On talent, we're much better than this team.
 
I will say this: whoever draws Kobe is getting 2 fouls inside 5 minutes. He's going to play like an animal out of the gate and he's going to get Kobe fouls. Might as well sacrifice Bell for that duty. In fact, I'll probably be thrilled if Ty starts Bell in this game for exactly that reason.

Hahaha - that'd be about the only way I'd want to see Bell on the court tomorrow. Is if I know he will get in foul trouble. Maybe he cheap shots Kobe and gets suspended for the season. Let's hope so!!
