Game 1: Utah Jazz @ Los Angeles Lakers, 8:30 p.m MT..Game Thread

today in my dream i was a jazz player, and i helped the team comeback in the 4th quarter against san antonio, but i missed the buzzer so we lost by 1.(Hayırdır inşallah;)) I can interpret that tonight's game as we may lose by 1

I was open and screaming at the rigth corner, If you had given the ball to me we would have won the damn game:)

For tonight, it is worrying that Lakers will trying not to lose their third game. It's rare to them to lose three in a row. I hope we give them that.

My score guess, 92-90 Jazz win.

I think Al on Pau is most likely. I think McRoberts absolutely sucks, but he may be too athletic for Al to handle.
McRoberts is a pretty decent player but he injured himself last night and may not be available. With their injuries and suspensions I believe that would put them down to two PF/Cs on the roster. Should win, but dont like the fact that this is our first game. Hope practices have gone well.

I know CP has supposedly promised he'll stay with the Clippers through next season. But throw enough money his way and Stern won't be able to stop the move like he did with the trade.

He didn't "supposedly" promise, he signed a 1 year contract extension.

Actually, I believe all he did was agree to not opt out on the last year of his current contract. But yeah, that was a requirement for the trade to happen. Clippers wouldn't have done it on Paul's word.

Same could be said for Fes. Hope Kanter has a little nasty streak in him.

Cousins, after playing against Kanter, said, "People think I rub people wrong, wait untl they play against Enes. Boy gives no one any respect to their space and does a lot of small (undetactable?) things that are not seen. He's going to get punched in the league." (He laughed as he said it, so TIFWIW)

Ha, that is awesome!

Perfect. The other 4 better immediatly step up to defend him. I want to see a tight nit team.

Great! We haven't had that kind of nastiness in our bigs since Malone left. Hopefully it's a guy like Gasol, Duncan or Nowitzki who punches him in Game 1 of a playoff series and then gets suspended.

So what's the post game ritual? Let's assume it's a win.

As long as he has a strong chin sounds good!

Can't say, I never hit him.

Seriously though, it's not just talk when he says he loves contact. The chippier things get, the tougher he plays. There's no backdown in him at all.

That is one of the things I liked about Stocton. Guy played hard and physical. The Jazz need this. In my head I see them as a hard, physical team with no superstars. Just a group of guys that compliment each other and beat you as a team.

So, a bit of a rant.

I tuned into 1320kfan to listen to some Jazz talk. You know, opening day. Playing the Lakers on national TV. Kind of a big deal, right?

Nah, they are talking about Tim Tebow.

Nothing particular. No news. Just a meandering conversation about quarterbacks.

Really?

I hold my nose when they talk college football, because I understand there is a pretty big audience out there that wants to hear about the local teams. But wouldn't you think we could hear about the Jazz today?
