Game #10 : Lakers at Utah, Wednesday 01/11/2012 7:00 PM MST

If Jefferson was playing so cold, why the hell did he get so many minutes? I don't understand why they didn't call a timeout at the end, the Jazz has never do well when they rush. 3 Laker defenders were already set, and CLEARLY Jefferson was not ready for the ball (as usual). I hate Laker fans, they seem to overflow our stadium in the noose-bleeder seats, now we have to hear their crap like the aftermath of a Utah/Byu football game.

People were acting like AJ was league MVP yesterday. Now he's the worst player ever. That's just DutchJazzer level of simple-mindedness.

But in all seriousness, this one is on Corbin. Terrible decisions all around. It doesn't take a genius to realize that if one of your fat players is shooting 20% and can hardly move anymore, it's time to give him some rest.
difference with all yesterday and today is his shot is not falling today.
same lazy player on offense.
problem when his shot is not falling he doenst give us anything else. fisher jkust took it to him he did not jump to contest the shot.
he did not box out.
he did not jump to get a rebound.
if his shot is falling he offset these negatives. today his shot was not falling so what was he giving us. overal he was a negative force on this game

You've solved the problem! All these years, and the answer was right there all along. We should just jinx every team that plays the Jazz, and then we will never lose because there is indeed such a thing as jinxing, right? I'll be glad to do it if you who are blaming MK11 can show me how since you obviously knew this would happen. You recognized the jinx before it happened. Amazing!

it isnt that easy because there are counter jinxes out there.

eg cheese is known to be a counter jinx

I thought Corbin made two bad decisions on the Lakers game.

1) Bell on Bryant. First off, Bell played excellent D to send the game into overtime.
But if someone looked at Bryant's stats against Bell and then against Howard I can guarantee that Howard played him better. The sample space would be much lower, but Howard played excellent on Kobe the last minutes. Bell's so much smaller than Kobe and never puts his hand up.

2) Jefferson in crunch time. When Jefferson can't do any offense...he's just not a great player. He played OK D today but Kanter and Favors were a good match for the Lakers big men. It wouldn't have hurt to have Favors in and actually I would argue that Favors would have not gotten blocked by Bynum in that last Big Al attempt. Favors needs more minutes badly. 11:47 while a struggling Al got 43:18 is not a good decision at all.

Wow. This guys sure knows his stuff. Kanter and Favors are going to outplay Gasol and Bynum?

Sure.
I think he's just saying that those players might be able to contribute more in games when Big Al isn't shooting well. Basketball is a team game.

Favors should have gotten at least 20 minutes. We CANNOT beat the lakers with Millsap and Jefferson, its been proven to us TIME and TIME again. If Millsap got hot like he did, then you throw in Favors at the 5. You don't give one of the most skilled big men in the NBA only 10 ****ing minutes against one of the most talented 4/5 combos in the NBA, especially when you're noticing that Al is shooting 30%.

Anyone have more pics of Shirley. Looking for some action shots, maybe near that old winnerschnitzel on state st. I'm so intrigued.

Did you just call Favors one of the most skilled big men in the NBA?

There's an amazing collection of magical papyri translated by Hans Dieter Betz, et. al.; perhaps we could pull some examples from here? They were quite popular thousands of years ago and enjoyed a resurgence when he translated them. They're not quite as cheesy as the counter jinx, however.

Jazz didn't call time out at the end because they sucked the entire second half against The Lakers set D.

Corbin made the right call, it just didn't work out.
