What's new

Game #11 Toronto Raptors at Utah Jazz Wednesday 18 Nov 2015 @ 7:00pm Mtn

Have we had a good game yet? Maybe Atlanta?

Do we know how good we are?

Arguably, I'd say their best game start to finish was The Cleveland loss.

The Philly game might have been better but can you even count games against them anymore?

Who would've ever thought Burke would be shooting as well as he is. Now when he shoots I'm surprised when he misses. Maybe he is the black Jesus. First time I've ever called him that here on Jazzfanz. It's never quite fit him in the past.

Yep.
This year when he gets an open three i feel like its automatic.
That is truly all i really wanted from him. Just keep defenses honest with the deep threat and make open threes.

Also just want to say how impressed I am with Burks game last night. Yes he struggled most of the game but came alive in the fourth quarter. Loved his fight and grit.

Yeah, Cleveland was a pretty good game and probably that one and Atlanta are a fairly good gauge of what kind of team we are. In other words, ready to compete with the best. A click here and a click there(Hayward) and we might be on our way to 55+ wins. A 4-5 seed sounds pretty good to me. Maybe even WCF? This team does seem like it could have the character to over-achieve.

Let's try this again.

The Jazz are 5-3 against teams .500 or better. They are almost 8-0 against said teams.

Those 3 losses against teams .500 or better were road games to the Pistons, Cavs and Heat. We lost by a combined 10 points and all three games went to the wire. A few possessions going differently and the Jazz could have won all 3. That would make them 8-0 against teams .500 or better.

Jazz have played 3 games against teams under .500 and are 1-2. Jazz need to beet these teams. They beat the Sixers but lost to the Magic and Blazers.

Not yet we don't, have not played a complete game yet with Hay and Favs both cooking. Last night, that 17-4 run we gave up took away a potential laugher. But we are getting there, and 6-5 ain't a bad start.

6-5 is fantastic when 8 of the 11 are road games.

That dunk on Gobert was so nasty, kept climbing up and cocked the ball back hard as hell and just destroyed Gobert....liked how Derozan acted like he's done that a million times before.

Yep. One of the best in game dunks i have seen in a long time. And i agree about how he acted afterwards. Ice oold.

Next time he tries that crap rudy will eat his soul however. Just ask maple jordan (andrew wiggins)

Didn't wait that long. Didn't he strip the ball from Derozen for the win in crunch time? That was pretty awasome.

He blew by Hayward. Cant put that all on Rudy. Quin said that dunk was not on Rudy but the defense that allowed him to get to that spot.

Hay got blown by 5 times by my count. Really disappointing that he couldnt stay in front of his man.

Uhh, Hayward played the best perimeter defense on the team again. He only got blown by twice, the other times he was funneling Derozan into the defense, I think you are mistaking him icing the PNR to force Derozan into the defense as him letting Derozan blow by him on a couple of possessions. He did get legitimately blown by a couple times where Derozan went early and surprised Hayward.

Hayward held Derozan to 14 points on 15 shots (I think the only time he actually scored on Hayward was the Rudy dunk) and made their best scorer into a passer. Sounds like the Jazz had a gameplan and stuck to it.
